Henry Golding |
| 1702 | Ian Gilbert | Please don't compromise our historic heritage and the public amenity that this site offers as a premier West Suffolk Open Air Venue.
Please give serious consideration to an alternative route following the airfield's southern perimeter track and the existing road through Roughham Industrial Estate. |
| 1703 | Anonymous | Unfortunately modern day planners have no respect for past history it ia all about revenue.
Maybe an appeal to George Bush might help he has friends in high places. The airfield is not just a memorial to the British the Americans used the airfield as well. |
Robert | This would be a disaster for the country.
D C Hands | The route should be reconsidered to preserve the historic setting of the listed buildings in accordance with adopted Planning policy.
M.J.CURTIS | THERE MUST BE A WAY OF DOING THIS WITHOUT TAKING THE AIRPORT LAND.IF THERE HAD BEEN RED FROGS THERE NOBODY WOULD HAVE GONE NEAR IT
Mike Lake | This would destroy yet another dwindling resource. Alternatives are few and far between.
godfrey clark |
Mr Michael Baldock | It seems a shame that a perfectly good road is available to use which goes round the airfield to the southern side rather than cutting across the airfiled itself. It can't be more than a minute or two longer in time to use.
Anonymous | Local planning department has no vision, or care for local communities. This area provides local people with very good facilities and entertainment, all self help.
Anonymous | The Blenheim Society has supported the Rougham Air Show for many years as well as 'helping' the Blenheim aircraft to attend as well. It would be tragic both for the RTA and the wonderful events that are organised at this most historic location if the current plan for this road is adopted. The 'powers that be' MUST be forced to see the error of their ways and to think again on where to put this road.
Paul Smith |
Julian Horn | We must preserve our recent history as much as we must preserve ancient history. Sites like these should be scheduled!
| 1714 | John Braun | As an active pilot I can appreciate the need to preserve the airfield in its existing form.
The alternative proposal would help to achieve that. |
Bill Aitchison |
Tony Lowe | There must be alternative routes which will not have the affect of this particular one
James Dale | The area has a rich heritage from the struggle for freedom during the second world war and Rougham Airfield, it's listed buildings and amenity facilities are a unique combination that combine the past and present , allowing future generations to understand the significance of the events that took place over Europe. If a route that provides access and still keeps the airfields amenities alive then it MUST be the priority choice.
Michael Hill |
Peter Rackliff | The airfield and its buildings and memorial should be left intact and undisturbed. This should not be a problem, since their is a perfectly logical alternative route for this relief road.

Anonymous | If the road must be constructed then it should follow the yellow route, away from the tower and memorial.
Simon Down |
Martin Chapman |
Wendy Bennett-Chapman |
Cliff Dix |
| 1736 | Humberto Durier Silva | alternative routes are course possible,so pls
dignity for this place.

Michael Brown |
Les dear |
C.R. Letori |
adrian pallett | please respect the memorial and tower and choose an alternative route
j.greenwood | To ruin the airfield now would be a crime, after so many people have worked so hard to preserve what remains of the airfield. I wish you well in your campaign.
James G Gurnett | We owe a great deal to the men of Rougham airfield. Every effort should be made to retain the atmosphere of the site.It would be an act of vandalism to put a road through on the proposed route when alternatives are obviously available.
alex gull |
Richard Curant | Please re-think the route.
John Bailey |
Mark Leah | I sign this petition with a heavy heart, knowing full well that the "powers that be" in this area have no interest in the views of the general public or in preserving sites of historical importance. Still, miracles do sometimes happen!
JOHN hANDLEY |
Michael Stiff |
Eadweard Ray |
Neil Palmer | Put traffic back on the rails. We are slowly being covered in concrete and choked by pollution.
