| 1603 | David Margetts | Where in the world do we get such useless local government. The idea of consultation is waste our money listening to our views so that they can be ignored. |

| 1609 | Mike Speakman | I think the proposals are detrimnental to the amenities and a slight on the American servicemen who lost theior lives. |

| 1611 | John Rickett | Having visited the airfield on many occasions and seen the fitting memorial that exists to the American airmen who gave their lives fighting for our freedom 60 odd years ago, it seems ironic that today's planners can have so little respect for what their elders did - shame on them. |

| 1613 | A J GUNN | Despoiling historic or memorial sites for commercial reasons is to be deplored. |
| 1614 | Stephen Biggs | |
| 1615 | Richard Hunt | Let's not lose another airfield, if it's not to ill conceived wind turbines it would seem it is too yet more roads! Airfields are rapidly becoming an endangered species and should have protected status on their own merit as a great resource for all the community. |
| 1616 | Michael Cushion | I am against the road cutting the airfield in half, |

| 1623 | Anonymous | Sounds like an unnecessary interference in people's hobbies and pastimes. Alternative routes should certainly be considered. |
| 1624 | Tony Nowak | I strongly object to the proposal to construct a road through the centre of Rougham airfield. I have visited this airfield by air and was very impressed by its unique setting, historic control tower and exceptional quality grass strip. Pleas do all you can to reconsider the planned route and to ensure it doesn't destroy this unique setting.

| 1630 | richard.murphy | dont cut through the airfield with the relief road, please go round the edge of the airfield and industrial estate. |

| 1632 | John Self | I object in the strongest way to yet another attack on easy targets like airfields by councils for various building projects. It's bad enough that they have allowed the housing develpment to encroach on airfield operations - how long before a future residents' association complains about aircraft noise?
The council should be reminded that they work for us, and are there to do our bidding, not the other way round.
NO to the proposed road that would mutilate the airfield.

| 1635 | Martin Ott | Seems patently daft to encroach too close to the existing airfield amienities so choose an expedient avoidance route please. This site has a good future as a local amenity so please think long, rather than short term. Thank you |

| 1637 | Anonymous | we must remember those who gave all for us so we MAY enjoy free space |
| 1638 | Brett Stringfellow | How can this be even thought of as happening so close to the control tower, never mind inside the airfield.Just another case of " so what about the past".
Veay sad to hear of this new threat to Rougham airfield.
I remember the day the T2 hanger went to the "crusher" . Another blow to the history of the 8th.

| 1640 | Stephen Gibbins | This development cannot be allowed to proceed, we have already lost too much of our Airfield heritage. |
| 1641 | Erik M. Forsgren | |
| 1642 | David Thomas | As a frequent visitor to rougham airfield, I object to the planned route of the relief road that passes so close to the american servicemans memorial and controltower. These are amongst the best preserved, and importantly cared for in the country. the sanctity of the site is an essential part of the attraction.
As a pilot I object to a proposal which is likely to make the airfield less safe and will result in theclosure of one runway. Especially so since it seems to me it would be a simple matter to run the relief road around the perimeter of the present site.
I thereofe believe the present proposal is nothing more than determined vandalism. |
| 1643 | Anonymous | This is yet another example of riding roughshod over our heritage and history for short-term commercial gain. The Grade II listed control tower at Rougham, and indeed whole airfield, is a memorial to the American airmen who flew from here during the war. We owe it to them not to carve up their memorial with a road for which alternative routes have been suggested. |
| 1644 | paul micklethwaite | |
| 1645 | john r clinch | this is one of the biggest venues in this area , how can the local council even think of doing this , for the sake of a few, and not consider the many, they need a morel giudens lesson and open there eyes. to the real world. |
| 1646 | debbie | i have had this petition brought to my attention as i used to live in the area, i am appalled at the news of the suggested road through an historically significant site |

| 1649 | Alan L. Holmes | I would not want to hinder reasonable development in this area, but when a perfectly viable alternative route is available, to drive a road through a historic and still active airfield would be an act of sheer vandalism. |
