| 1451 | Anonymous | Too many green spaces are taken for development by Planners sitting behind a desk with little idea how it affects others.
Unfortunately the same applies to most of us, as we find it is mostly a full time job earning our living and attending to our own interests in life!! |
| 1452 | stewart goldsmith | building a road through the airfield is "disrespectfull vandalism",i feel its equal to "hoodies" kicking over grave stones in a church yard,it must be stopped. |
| 1453 | Anonymous | Think before you act and don't do it, those who make the final decision. |
| 1454 | thomas ellis | |
| 1455 | Mike Shave | At the prsent time this verdant oasis plays host to many events that could not be happen anywhere else this close to Bury St Edmunds and as such these events add to the diversity and quality of life in the area, let alone the site reminding future genereations of our heritage.
If the airfield is allowed to be developed for housing or reduced in size as a result of the proposed new road would mean generations to come will loose out on an valuable amenity and once lost it can never be replaced. |
| 1456 | Mike Geraghty | |
| 1457 | Anonymous | if there are no technical reasons why the airfield can be left in its present state, why are such short sighted actions being proposed? Once built, nothing can be done to re- establish a part of this country's heritage- another part of our past lost ! |

| 1459 | colin c holding | After seeing the demise of the Essex Showground to become a horse racing track..there appears to be a trend in disassembling large areas used for the entertainment and bringing together of communities and visitors from afar ...
To see the joy and looks of wonder of my young daughter and son at the incredible skill of pilots and the wonderful array of planes both real and model that the facilities at Rougham provide are moments in life that remain forever..Not to mention the wonderful steam traction engines and historic cars !
We have already seen the struggle of the Sally B in trying to overcome the european red tape trying to ground these beautiful and historic planes ..that are VERY much a part of our history..It appears now that they are trying to get rid of areas where these can be seen at shows such as Rougham..( is this another means of dismembering our history by the powers that be? )

| 1462 | steve devereux | Save this historic & beautiful place, we have enough roads already. |
| 1463 | Michael Mann | Whilst recognising the requirements for progress such as new roads, wherever possible these should br routed so as to keep disturbance to historical sites such as Rougham Airfield with its memorial to an absolute minimum |
| 1464 | Jason Gregory | Speaking as a local and ratepayer, (postcode IP30 xxx) The loss of this amenity, far outweighs the cost of the alternative route. |
| 1465 | Roger Pratt | Change the habit of a lifetime and listen to the public, your CUSTOMERS, for a change! |

| 1469 | ottopilcher | fight the good fight |
| 1470 | Matt Halton | No bloody more roads through sites of historic interest please!!!!!!!!1 |
| 1471 | Anonymous | Commercial traffic should be routed via the industrial estate as it is the most logical solution (yellow route on map). Too much open land is being consumed by new roads. Improve the existing roads if need-be but leave the airfield alone. |
| 1472 | peter foster | |
| 1473 | Simon Purdon | |
| 1474 | KEITH CASTLEY | please find another route for this relief road?
what is there is of historic value and still to this
day giving an insite into what once was there
and still giving pleasure to many people
DONT PUT IT UNDER THREAT ........ |
| 1475 | Jim Mcdonald | stop the ROAD! |
| 1476 | W F Walker | This is an inappropriate development that can only come to be regreted as a serious misjudgement by generations to come.
As time diminishes the living-memory of the bravery of young men far from home, no effort should be spared to retain and respect what few original sites are still standing in quiet, dignified testimony to their courage and sacrifice. |
| 1477 | Andy Turner | The American airmen who gaave their lives for freedom deserve greater respect. Moving the proposed road to the perimeter track would preserve their dignity and is far less disruptive to the active airfield. |

| 1480 | l mason | i think its so selfish&utter madness to keep ruining our countryside in this way and ruining our heritage and destroying wildlife habitat ihave been to roughamairfield and i would urge the council to think twice &think green & see its utter folly to continue to desroy our countryside in the name of so called progress soon if our decendants want to see a tree or a field they will have to pay to see them in a museum!!! utterMADNESS |
| 1481 | K.Minton | |
| 1482 | Alan Blunden | |
| 1483 | Mr B. J. Bish. | |
| 1484 | Dave Westlund | Please consider history ahead of simple cost. |
| 1485 | david pegram | i have relatives who were stationed at rougham during the war.i am a frequent visitor to the memorial.it must be maintained for our future |
| 1486 | Anonymous | |
| 1487 | Brian Palmer | |
| 1488 | Stephen Hill | I agree that the alternative route should be used so as to preserve as much as possible of the heritage and amenity value of the airfield, its buidlings and character. To press ahead with original proposal will make a mockery of grade II listing status and be tantamount to an act of vandalism. |
| 1489 | Dave Emerson | The advantages of the proposed scheme are not justified, given its impact. |
| 1490 | Olive Smart | As usual, the Council refuses to LISTEN to the people who have elected them. Absolute disgrace and what a way to thank deceased USAF airmen who died so that we can live in a free society - and their families who must be appalled at the situation. |
| 1491 | MR. R. A. NAIRN | Another grandiose piece of Council thinking! |

| 1495 | Anonymous | Bury St. Edmunds is all about its history. Its about time we saved some! |
| 1496 | Nic Jamin | As Spike Milligan accurately said about the BBC, and as it applies to the self-servers that are destroying our Society: "They cannot appreciate, so they destroy" |
| 1497 | andrew woods | |
| 1498 | Paul R Milsom | we have roads a-plenty, but road planners need to understand that roundabouts are what wrecks traffic flow and create congestion. do away with roundabouts, replace with traffic lights. our drivers are not capable of coping with roundaouts. |
| 1499 | Gavin Tillott | |
| 1500 | Sara Key | Having been born and bred in BSE, I do feel that an alternative route should be sought. My father has always built and and flew modile aircraft so has participated in numerous events over the years. I do feel that BSE is being spoilt by the number of houses this side of town and spenditure that seems pointless. |
