Steve WoolmingtonHow easily we forget the sacrifice of those who gave their lives for our freedom. Their legacy is our way of life. What legacy will the short-sighted cost-driven planners leave for future generations?
Frederic E. BantaMy brother Dorac B. Banta was a Co-Pilot on B17 AC 42-107180 the Eagle's Wrath in the 410th Bomb Squadron. He flew 35 or 36 mission. We are supporting the Rougham Tower Memorial.
Anonymouschange for changes sake !!!
Raymond CracknellIt will be a great shame if the proposed road is built so close to the tower, it is of historic interest for the comunity and gives pleasure and a site for open air pastimes, let not greed rule our lives.
Darren FinlayWhen a group of poeple take upon theirselves to restore and preserve our history for all of us to see, it should be given unquestionable respect. Sugestions of roads and houses should stay within the rooms suggested and then forgotten!! Please leave us with a little of what was, GREAT BRITAIN.!!!
lucy bakerThe airfield is a historic site which should be protected at all cost for future generations to enjoy.
keith kingas a regular military vehicle exhibitor i feel the loss of this facility will be a great loss to the public that attend the events.

Heather MeadThis is yet another example of Local Authority Planners overriding the wishes of the people who enjoy the use of the airfield in order to force their own wishes onto them.
Tony Hume
Charles SuggWe just cannot let people with short memories or that are too young to remember how important these memorial/museum sites are destroy or spoil them. They belong to all the people and should be protected.
Jon DahlMy uncle, Arvid "Spanky" Dahl, was Lead Navigator under Col. Castle. "money has no sense of nostalgia"
Robert Cook
derek holthamall the best derek
martin collinsThis historic site used by the USAAF during WW2 should be preserved for the many people who use it for their different leisure activities throughout each year.
frank collinsAlternative route preferred
Tom HuntI agree that historic site such as this should not be imposed upon or altered for comercial benefit.
AnonymousI think the" power to be" should consider to leave the air field in-tact,as we may have to come back some day and defend your country again!!,at that time they will have to go thru all the Red Tape to remove the road to make this historic land mark operational again!!!!!!
AnonymousI think the" power to be" should consider to leave the air field in-tact,as we may have to come back some day and defend your country again!!,at that time they will have to go thru all the Red Tape to remove the road to make this historic land mark operational again!!!!!! P.S why should it cost any thing to support good and right!
David Rieco
Tony DickensThere seems to be a viable alternative to slicing the airfield in two. I hope the planners have the fortitude to make the right choice.
alex malcolmthe airfield should be left as it is as a tribute to the aircrew who died defending this country
Lyle WarrenMy father, Nelson Warren was stationed at the airfield in 1944. We have photos of him at the base. He passed away in 2002. My mother and I visited the airfield in 2006 and were very impressed with how well it's been maintained.

JANICE BODYYet again commerce is to be allowed to disregard social amenity. Do the councils and committees ever actually consider the wishes of the electorate that keeps them in office?

Ronald AbercrombieWe must fight gainst this constant threat of cosures to our airfields,i was against the propsed devolopement of North weald airfield in Essex which there was a planned devolopement of thousands of houses there has been a reprieve, this has to be fought as a group the more people that sign and protest the more they are likely to listen in particular if they think that they will not get voted back in again.Good luck with the campaign
