Support needed for people with Learning Disabilities in Wales

The petition

Currently Cardiff council are proposing cuts to these services across Wales by 21% and then a further 5% each year for three years. This process is happening without any consultation to those service users directly involved including the individual’s support needs being assessed without their involvement.

The reduction in the levels of support afforded by the reduced funding would put service users and the staff supporting them at risk.

Cardiff council provide their own direct provision, which will not be subject to the same process.
