Phil Stephensen-Payne | A work of sheer imagination that will put Crosby on the map forever - who could possibly want it removed?
Sue Winstanley | Saw it for the first time today, thought it brilliant & in an absolutely perfect setting - it would be a crime not to keep it there

Anonymous | Brought up in Liverpool close to the shores of the Mersey, I now live in France. These statues add yet another aspect of Merseyside to be proud of (there so many!) and something to tell my new neighbours over here, thus keeping Liverpool and Merseyside up there with the great cities.
Alan Bacon |
Vicky Webb | Its 2007 now, i dont even know if its been taken away or not, but i still want to show my dissaproval for peoples thinking it would be a good idea. Why ruin something so beautiful?
angharad wilkinson | would be a shame if they got rid of them
| 763 | Anonymous | The must stay.

Anonymous | I Live in the south of Englang but come from Bootle. Please please keep the iron men on the shore as they bring the waterfront to life. I wish the men had been there when I played on that beach as a young girl.

Anonymous | i came to visit the statues for my GCSE expressive arts project research and found they were incredible. My family and i travelled from staffordshire to see them and it would be disasterous if they were to disappear.

please do not change its name to another name.
thank you |
Glenn Finch | Works like these are so much more visceral, accessible, and important than countless thousands of obscurities hanging in galleries all over the country.
zoe petrie | Please leave the Iron men as it is a thing of distinction in this area. To view... tourists will remember and most locals too have a fondness for the one they have photos standing next to.
sandy fearfull | Had a fantastic day on the beach today, the statues must stay !!!!
Anonymous | I am not an art lover. But I travelled quite some distance today to visit Crosby Beach and see 'Another Place' - and I loved this particular expression of art. I also loved the participatory element (assorted items of clothing worn by the "iron men") which demonstrates Merseyside humour perfectly! I think it would be a great shame if the figures were removed, they are art that local people can understand and relate to.

Anonymous | This work MUST be kept at Croby moving it to another place, (pardon the pun), would just be unacceptable.
Sarah Fisher | I visited the beach by sheer fluke last night - it was an extraordinary experience. The sand was being blown along the surface of the beach by strong winds which made it look as though the figures were rising from a mist - the statues, the sand and a stunning sunset were truly breathtaking and I can't wait to come back to see them again with different weather conditions - the 100 static figures looking out across the water in an ever changing environment are an outstanding contribution to modern art - please keep them in Crosby
