Rachel Hobson | They look great and I want to go and see them so I would rather no one took them away.
David Thom | I think it would be criminal to remove it.

Alan White | This major work of art is perfect for a major cultural city - a real focal point in the same way that 'Angel of the North' is for Gateshead/Newcastle. It must stay.

Anonymous | these statues must be kept , excellent tourist attraction
James Dowd | I am an exiled Liverpudlian living in London. I visited Crosby beach in 2006. "Another Place" is symbolic of Liverpool's tradition of arrival and exile and the tremendous feeling for place that Liverpudlians possess. The installation has the characteristic of all great art - it is universal.
cara clarke | I haven't yet travelled up to Liverpool to see Another Place but I really want to do so. Please don't remove the statues!
Anonymous | we visit crosby again and again now - all the way from Chester

Chris Houghon | It's a beautifull and haunting sight and should be kept
Anonymous | If the statues are removed, it makes a mockery of Liverpool as Capital of Culture.

Anonymous | This is how art should be - accessible, understandable, thought-provoking. I travelled to Crosby beach especially to see them...and wouldn't have had reason to go otherwise. They are now as much a part of that coastline as the Pier Head!

Ian Murren | To remove this collection would leave a void the beach is a none bathing beach anyway so to use it as it has been used since the installation of the Iron men is the best option along with the regeneration of that part of the coast it would be shear madness to remove what has clearly been a very successful and positive addition to an area which has been lacking any sort of cultural innovations for quite some time they must be kept.
Marshall Mateer | Let the poeple speak.
Hilary Rodger |
Tanya Lee Andrew | I have not yet seen these statues and im sure there are many others like me who would like them to stay so that more people have the chance to view them.
Chris Hall |
Lis Spencer | This is really important for Merseyside. It will boost the local economy and create a sense of pride in people in the area. PLEASE have the vision to see what a fantastic opportunity this is.

| 682 | F Ricchiuti | This installation took my breath away .... literally, as the day we first visited was so windy we couldnt stand upright ..... What an incredible piece of work. I fail to understand how anyone could be so foolish as to refuse permission for it to stay at Crosby ...
I will be back,,, with my children this time, in February. |
verity Trevor-Morgan | A fantastic installation that should be kept in situ. Very thought-provoking and dramatic. Lets keep it in the UK. It is so impressive to be able to interact with the figures.
Sarah Lake |
Emma Thomson |
Stevie Harman | This work should stay in the UK.
Anonymous | Crosby and Liverpool cannot afford to lose these outstanding pieces of sculpture. To do so would be criminal and suggest a victory for current indifference over artistic ecellence.
Jan Acton | My husband and I relocated from the north east last summer and chose to live in Waterloo because of the Gormley statues on the beach. There are many other benefits of living here too but they were the 'hook' that drew us here in the first place! We have since met people that have come to look from all over the country. We love living here, love the beach and love the statues!

Anonymous | a fantastic work of art, it would be a tragic loss to the area if we were to lose what will become a modern day da vinci. It would be like winning the lottery and having it all taken off you because your neighbours don't think you were worthy. KEEP THEM HERE!!!!!!!
frances o'connor | please keep this truly wonderful work of public art in my home city of liverpool i couldn't be in a better place

mari kamada | This work is truly remarkable, and I really wish it stays on the site. I visited last Oct and now found the work has not been removed, so am thinking to visit again in March. It may not create money, but give beautiful feelings!
Williams | Have enjoyed many a day wondering along the beach amongst the statues - with thousands of others it seems. The existence of the statues was what made visit this beach some 2 years ago, and we've been going back regularly ever since.
