The petition

We believe that it is crucial Antony Gormley's installation Another Place stays on Crosby Beach and in Merseyside.

Antony Gormley has created another fantastic piece of public art, and has given us an opportunity to have our own Angel of The North. To have it removed from the beach at Crosby & Waterloo within 14 months of the city becoming the Capital of Culture would be extremely detrimental to the overall picture that Liverpool is trying to project and to Sefton in terms of regeneration and profile.

Looking at and interacting with art can provide a much needed refuge for reflection, sympathy, quietude, inspiration, and even ecstasy in this increasingly chaotic world.

Please help us keep this fantastic sculpture in the area and sign our online petition.
