Stop Wal-Mart super center (# 4225) in Lower Heidelberg Township

The petition

I am strongly opposed to the construction of a Wal-Mart super center in Lower Heidelberg Township.

Whereas:
1. A 184,000 square foot Wal-Mart store has been proposed to the township of Lower Heidelberg along Route 422 at the north corner of Penn Avenue (Rt 422) & Krick Lane and;
2. This store will likely have detrimental effects on the surrounding community, including increased traffic, harm to surrounding businesses, and a negative impact on neighborhood integrity, and;
3. As citizens of the local communities of Lower Heidelberg, South Heidelberg, Sinking Spring, Wernersville, Robesonia, and beyond, we are concerned about the long-term implications of this retail development on the economic and social health of our neighborhoods, We request that the township of Lower Heidelberg act to prevent the construction of this Wal-Mart store in Lower Heidelberg.
