THE PETITION FOR DAVID SOARES' RESIGNATION

The petition

In light of the revelations about the role played by the Albany County District Attorney, David Soares, in concealing the improper actions of Eliot Spitzer and his associates, it has become clear that Soares is no longer fit to serve as the top prosecutor of Albany County. The issuance of two contradictory reports by Soares about Troopergate represent a breach of the public trust and a violation of legal ethics.

We, the undersigned, affirm:
-that Albany County District Attorney David Soares was an active conspirator in the Troopergate coverup,
-that David Soares deliberately misled the public on numerous occasions,
-that David Soares should resign his office immediately.
