PA survivors of childhood sexual assault and abuse are asking for better legal protection for our children of today and prevention for all future children in PA.
Our recommendations below fully support the comprehensive legislative recommendations of the Philadelphia Grand Jury in their report released 9/21/05.
Please show your support for the legislative changes listed below that will provide better protection for children today and minimize further sexual abuse in the future by signing our petition. We will present the signed petition to our state legislators in the next couple months.
These recommendations will benefit ALL childhood sexual abuse victims by providing legal protection for chidren now from perpetrators who are still out and about in our communities and to ensure that future children who live in Pennsylvania are not subjected to the kind of abuse and cover-up that has marked our own lives forever.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The two most importatnt changes needed:
• Open a One Year “Window” Suspending Current PA Civil Statutes of Limitations for Adult Victims of Childhood Sexual Abuse.
• Abolish the Current PA Criminal and Civil Statutes of Limitations for Sexual Offenses against Children. |

This document is the sixth report on the Catholic abuse crisis by a grand jury or attorney general, and it is the longest and most detailed effort so far. The report should be read by every Catholic, and indeed every U.S. citizen. We have posted the report below in such a way that sections may be downloaded easily. Our table also allows you to read across and access the report's various data about each priest. News and comment, links to other grand jury reports, and a more traditional table of contents for the Philadelphia report are presented after the table.
