Our children have waited patiently for an ADEQUATE and EQUITABLE school finance plan. How many more classes will graduate without the opportunities they deserve.
The Supreme Court issued a ruling with a deadline of April 12, 2005. The Court said no smoke and mirror plans. They said the Legislature had already defined "suitable" in the Augenblick & Meyers Study, that cost taxpayers $207,000.
It's time for responsible leadership. We demand that the Kansas Legislature produce a real plan with real revenues that are ongoing.
