| 2553 | Georgia Keepax | PLEASE DONT DESTROY SAXON - MIKE LOVES HIM AND WILL LOOK AFTER HIM FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE - HE DESERVES A PEACEFUL AND HAPPY RETIREMENT. |
| 2554 | Jason Fox | Save Samson. After all he has done he deserves a graceful retirement. |

| 2556 | SaveXSax | Many dogs are destroyed and because of that, our hearts turn into tears that were burst every day when a single dog was destroyed.
when this happens, our hearts are broken. they are KILLED for no reason just because of one stupid reason.
Now this dog is going to be DESTROYED. What ARE THESE people?
People or savage BEASTS?
Sax is like us too. Polices are people who are committed to us because they save us but what if we were animals?
their "used" to be animals. EVen though he isn't licensed, he can be named as a Man's Bestfriend.
Do something Mate!!!
SAVE SAX PLEASE or your heart will be TORN into pieces of glass. |

| 2558 | Donald McElreavy | Why so much secrecy on the part of the police? I have owned our German Shepard for 8 years and know many other GS owners. Give Saxon to his handler and let him take care of him. |
| 2559 | Lynda Bagot-Parker | Even here in Selma, Oregon, US, we feel the sadness at the proposed murder of the great canine, the great dog hero, SAXON. Please allow Saxon to live in comfort and safety until the time of his natural life, treated well as the hero that he is. |
| 2560 | Beth Berghofer | NO dog is beyond help. What are the Gwent Police afraid of? Have the Towley's sign a release and let them have the dog! |
| 2561 | Rebecca Schneider | I see no reason to destroy a healthy dog whose partner is willing to adopt him. He has valiantly served the public good and should be retired to a good home full of loving people, not destroyed because it is "convenient". Do the right thing and permit his working partner to adopt him. Thank you. |
| 2562 | Brenda Highfill | The thought of killing this dog for absolutely no reason is truly foul as is your disloyality to him after all of his service. He deserves to live out his life with a family that loves him. |
| 2563 | Shirley Witherley | I feel that the responsisble thing to do would be to rehome Saxon with his handler, the person he has spent many years with and trusts. I feel most upset that they would even consider putting to sleep a five year old healthy dog. I have an eight year old German Shepherd Dog, when he was just 10 months old I was told by a behaviorist that he should be put to sleep as he was a dangerous dog, I feel we are responsible dog owners and in the eight years we have had him he has never bitten anyone and we do not put him in a position where that could happen, he is a very gentle loving dog who shows us lots of love and affection just as I am sure Saxon will show your family. If you all are willing to give him a chance then I feel that the police should give him a chance as well, all animal deserve the chance to live a long and happy life especially as he has served his country well |

| 2566 | mary giles | Please save this dog! |
| 2567 | mrs. anne romanow | Please allow Saxon to be rehomed to his handler and family. He is not a danger to society. He deserves to retire to their home. |
| 2568 | Charly Shumate | Since when is a loyal police canine put down when they retire. He former handler should be allowed to keep this dog. You surely cannot be that callous. This dog put his life on the line for this officer and your city and this is the respect you show them both. SHAME ON YOU. |
| 2569 | Anonymous | maybe if the same responsible attitude was used for all officers not being relicenced/retiring ie for people and dogs then senior officers may think differently, but then again in that situation they probably would not get as many signatures on a petition for saving people! |
| 2570 | Pauhla Whitaker | By being allowed to remain in the force so far, the implication is that Saxon has been proven himself to be an effective dog and no danger to the public. It is hard to credit that as a result of what appears to be an incomplete assessment by an ill informed individual, a decision to euthanise Saxon could become reality. Other forces accross the country have set a precident and allow their dogs to retire to live with their handlers. Why not Gwent? I do not see how this decision could possibly be justified. This isn't much of a reward for the loyalty of either the officer or the dog! |
| 2571 | sharon wood | Save saxon.Let him live out his days with his beloved handler |
| 2572 | Jessie Cross | There is no real reason to destroy this dog - so stop all this messing around and let him go to his family!! |

| 2574 | Kerstie Colley | I have 3 Serman shepherd dogs, and our male is also named "Saxon". They are fantastic dogs--I am glad you started this petition. Good luck and God Bless to you and your Saxon. |
| 2575 | Paula Saban | |
| 2576 | Laura Jones | This is absolutely disgusting - it just shows what the Gwent police force is like. I see nothing's changed since I left the area, they are still as incompetent as ever. |
| 2577 | lynne jones | Saxon truly deserves a 5* retirement. He put his life on the line for us, we owe him big time - please let Saxon have the life he deserves, thank you. |
| 2578 | Anonymous | He has been loyal trustworthy served you as requested and above all be an honourable member of your force, he deserves the life his exhandler and others want to give him. |

I am very pleased to say that the SOS Group and you good people here, and on other groups, have been instrumental in saving SAXON. See the Gwent Police Website: http://www.gwentpa.police.uk/pa/press/saxon.asp |

| 2586 | Jim Elliott | I am a retired Met Police Dog Handler and my working dog Metpol Sabre retired with me last November. He now enjoys his retirement with me here in sunny Spain. I wish you luck in keeping Saxon |
| 2587 | Debbie Paramanis | I can't believe putting a loyal police dog to sleep is the responsible thing to do. What has happened to the humane race how dare we be so heartless and cruel to all these innocent animals who ask for nothing but to be loved and cared for. This does not say much for all of us as a humane race. |
| 2588 | Russel Harris | Please spare this ddog's life. If a policeman was not to be re-licensed would the same fate befall him? Save those who protect our society. Don't destroy them. Heck, I'll take him in. |
| 2589 | Alan Ramsay | This is unbelieveable! Save Saxon NOW! |

| 2591 | Lori Raybine | What a horrible society that we have to live in; and what a way to thank mans best friend; god bless you and Saxon. |
| 2592 | ashlyn | theres NO need to KILL a perfectly good police dog just because it can no longer work thats like saying ALL police officers who no longer work should be KILL TOO its not right let the dog live a life! let him have a live hes not hurting anyone by being a great family dog just like retierd police officers are not hurting people neather TREAT THE DOGS LIKE YOU DO YOURSELVES!!! |

We can not understand it. |
| 2600 | jo-ann tovey-gwyther | i am really heart broken to read this story about saxon being the owner of gsd for as long as i can remember. to me those who have decided to have saxon put to sleep are as cruel as the scumbags who miss treat any animal, shame on you how do thay sleep at night |
