| 2451 | Karin Bertagnolli | Saxon saved his human partner's life. Mike and Carolyn want to adopt him-they love him and have a debt with him, as he had saved Mike's life. Now, if Saxon is not useful for other services, who could handle him better than his former human partner and wife who know him, love him and are used to him as well as he's used to them?
What is the personal reward letter from a chief constable worth if now Saxon is put on death row and you are not willing to rescue him although the family in debt with him so wants to keep him alive and with them?
Please give Saxon, Mike and Carolyn and the whole family this chance to stay together. Saxon deserves it and this family wants him-and needs him!
Yours sincerely
Karin Bertagnolli |

| 2455 | Lil Judd | This dog seems to me to have served with distinction. You wish to end his life. That to me seems wrong. Allow his handler & wife to adopt him so he can live the rest of his life in loving surroundings. There are dogs which should be put down. This is not one of them. Have you ever made a mistake? Maybe even two? If so, have you been given a chance to learn from those mistakes & been allowed to continue you life? If you did not learn from your mistakes - - well by your rules YOU should be put down. Treat this dog with the respect he deserves. Le him live with the family who loves him. Be HUMAN this time. |
| 2456 | mike young | i think its a disgrace that a dog gives so much in way of service and loyalty to the police force and gets so little back when theyve had enough of him.keep up the good work |
| 2457 | Dave | Disgusting! |
| 2458 | Ngo Thye Aun | Let Saxon live! |
| 2459 | Susan Malcolm | Do you think the govt is trying to avoid paying a pension to this loyal public servant upon his retiral? OK - maybe I understand why he is to retire early on health grounds, but his handler is willing to keep him - a trained dog handler - so what is the problem? Why destroy him? My cat bit anybody who went near him, this dog has bitten nobody. |
| 2460 | Denise Wilson | Why destroy a beautiful faithful dog when he can have a fulfilled life with a loving family? Why is it 'responsible' to kill a healthy dog who has the offer of a very good home with people he knows, trusts, and has much affection for? I think this is a disgraceful way to treat a police dog who would have thought nothing of laying down his own life for a serving officer, or a member of the public in danger.
Come on Gwent Police - show you appreciate the service of your police dogs and let him live.
To all police dogs and their humans - take care and keep safe. |

| 2462 | Anonymous | Saxon's contributions to the community deserve a response of respect, care and happy retirement, just like other police persons and members of our military. Please save his life and reunite him with his true companion and partner. Thank you for your consideration, it is a reflection of your integrity. |

| 2465 | susan ray | dont destroy this dog!!! |
| 2466 | Kimberly Wright | What is wrong with this picture??? WHY is it that murderers, rapists, child molestors, abusers, etc. can get away with these things and a precious dog, who has done NOTHING wrong is to lose his life??? There is something wrong with the US and the supposed "humans" who inhabit it! |
| 2467 | Caroline Bissey | Saxon has been a loyal servant, he deserves nothing less than that service returned. |

| 2480 | franki stockwell | I think its awful that saxon loyalty and love for his owner has not been reconised and his now being considered to be put to sleep i feel that this brave dog should be given a medal and allowed to live out the rest of his day with family he loves :( |
| 2481 | Alison Clark | I am absolutly disgusted. We're talking about an intelligent animal, not a piece of office furniture. Good luck with the petition |

| 2485 | Nina | There should not even be a question over whether this dog is destroyed or not. I can't believe Gwent Police are even considering it. It is disgusting and is no way to reward a faithful servant who would have given his life to protect his master or a member of the public in danger. |
| 2486 | Chris Bridle | Leave this dog live out his retirement with the family that he loves and loves him.How can he be a danger in the hands that trained him?You owe Saxon that and alot more! When you have your child taken from you because of illness it leaves you devestated. How do you deal with it being destoyed when fit and healthy. How will Saxon be remembered,Died a hero.Or Was a Hero but destroyed at his prime by the police of S.Wales R.I.P Saxon! And I will finish with,What gives YOU the right to decide? |

| 2489 | Mirth Rosser | How can anyone consider killing a dog who's done an honourable job of protecting people? Shame on you. |
