| 8 | Alabamak9 | There is no reason why a service dog can not be relaeased to the handler. If he was a liability was he one when is service, no or he would have not been qualified in the first place. Most departments when they retire a dog give the officer this option and so should you. |

Saxon deserves a long and well earnt retirement. Killing him is just sick :(
I've a huge respect for the police but for "senior officers" within the force to make a decision like this has seriously dented my good feeling towards them! |

He provided a service, unconditionally and without objection, to the department just as any human officer would have done and I do not believe it is fair to destroy a loyal and faithful partner when there is a willing and caring home for him to go to. |
