We Therefore request the San Jacinto Masonic Lodge No. 1330 and its Members and the Grand Lodge of Texas and all members, withdraw their demands for the immediate removal of our Cross off our Roof, the Cross painted on our back door, the removal of our sign "JESUS SAVES" and all artwork on the building depicting the Blood of Jesus. As they gave prior approval in accordance with our lease. We are in compliance with all ordinances and laws. These demands are unwarranted and violate our rights as a tenant, a Non-profit Christian Outreach Evangelistic Ministry and as Individual Christians. The Landlord - San Jacinto Masonic Lodge No. 1330 cites the reasons for their demands are as follows: the Lodge operates and receives a charter from the Grand Lodge of Texas. As a subordinate lodge of the Grand Lodge, San Jacinto Lodge must adhere to Grand Lodge laws, The Masonic fraternity is a non-sectarian group and Grand Lodge laws prohibit the placement of any signs or emblems denoting a particular religion. Per this requirement, the cross must be removed.
However, citing this claim agains a prohibition of displaying religous emblems, is ludicrous, as another local Amarillo Lodge, No. 731 has displayed and engraved into the outside of its building a CROSS. The Knights Templars "Cross and Crown" symbol as it is called in freemasonry is adorned on the building located on West 10th street.
Furthermore, the Master of the Lodge, Samuel Baucom gave approval for the erection of the Cross, the painting of the Cross on the back door, and encourage, approved of all artwork on the outside of the building. The lighting that was installed on the building and illuminating the Cross was disconnected by the Lodge Members, as they cited a possible hazard existed.
The Masonic Lodge and its members are blatantly attacking the core of our Christian beliefs, values and emblems. They knowingly accepted our organization as a tenant to their building. Citing our ministry to be that of a Christian Evangelistic Outreach which proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ in radical and provacative means. We presented several forms of literature, our website and several projects that made it very apparent and clear that the usage of the Christian Cross, the Blood of Jesus, and numerous signs such as "Jesus Saves" were at the core of our ministry and would be in much use.
Our organization came into the occupation of a run down, decaying building that the Masons had failed to maintain. We completely renovated the location and enhanced the appearance of the neighborhood. Our prescence in the area has already been widely accepted and our artwork and cross are the talk of the local residents, who admire the work.
The San Jacinto Masonic Lodge No 1330 as well as all other Freemasonry organizations teaches that the cross is not the most important symbol of the world, but rather the pentagram. It may be difficult for Christians involved in Freemasonry to accept this belief, but it is clearly stated in the Ritual. The 28th Degree, Knight of the Sun or Prince Adept In the 28th Degree, under Knight of the Sun, this is what we read from the Ritual: Ah the mysteries of Magism, all the symbols of the gnosis, all the figures of the occult philosophy, all the kabalistic keys of prophecy, are summed up in the sign of the pentagram, the greatest and most potent of an signs (28th Degree, Knight of the Sun, Ritual, page 413).
The Gnostics hold to it, the Kabalists hold to it, the Mystagogues hold to it, Occult philosophy holds to it. The dark world outside of "the one and only true God" holds the pentagram as the most potent of all signs. If a Mason in the Scottish Rite wants to know what is the most potent sign in this universe, it is not the cross but the pentagram. Take the cross down and raise the pentagram. That is the demands of the Masons.
This petition asks for your support not only as Christians, but all peoples of the United States, residents of the State of Texas and citizens of Amarillo, Texas, that our core religous values, beliefs and emblems are once again under attack by people and organizations such as the freemasons. Stand Up, Unite ! And Be a Bold Christian on our Behalf. It's the Cross that is under attack, not our ministry. It is the Blood of Jesus that the Masons so despise, for its Power and Authority makes them uncomfortable. We will Not remove our Crosses and We Will NOT remove the Blood of Jesus artwork from our building. If the San Jacinto Masonic Lodge gives their approval on matters pursuant to our lease, then they should be forced to stick with their prior decisions and not make unreasonable and prejudicial demands on our Ministry. It is simply the Blood of Jesus that they are so offended by. And it is simply the Power in the Blood of Jesus that will prevail and defeat any demonic attempt to silence the call to repentance and Salvation obtained ONLY throught the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Saviour through the shedding of his precious Blood. The Blood of Jesus.
