| 401 | cordelia holly | please, please, please, i love these programmes, i can't live without them. save them now |
| 402 | Becky Redman | Great Food Live is one of my favourite shows. And Jeni holds a special place in my heart as well! I was upset to hear it was being axed. Badly done, uktv, badly done. |
| 403 | geoff parsons | |
| 404 | Jonathan Davies | When GFL finishes I will watch the new series but if it is as bad as I expect then I hope UKTV will be getting mail by the bagfull and lots of people switching off. Why watch UKTVFood if GFL goes? The rest of the channel is just repeats. |
| 405 | Garrett Rowe | UKTVFood have obviously lost the plot. This is best show on UKTvfood, in fact the only one that makes me watch all of the ancillary programs that surround it. If it does not return I suppose I will not and indeed my wife will never watch UKtvfood again. |
| 406 | Jenny Thompson | GFL is the best foodie show on the TV. Love Jenni, she's so down to earth !
Good luck to her and all the team, hope to see everybody back soon. |
| 407 | Mrs D Boylan | The best programme on the tv. Jeni is great fun and makes it even more watchable. UKTV are making a BIG mistake. I for one won't tune into the channel from now on. |
| 408 | Carol Rose | Vote with your remote! Turn off uktvfood until GFL, or at
least Jeni, comes back. Thanks for all the brilliant Tv
Jeni, at least we weren't being treated like idiots and
were getting real infotainment. |
| 409 | Paula Rowe | I have watched avidly, even recorded, these two programmes and then watched those others that followed. My tv is almost always on channel 259/260. Very upset to hear that Jeni and co will no longer be on - lots of laughs and useful information. A huge loss to TV. All the best to Jeni. |
| 410 | gill | keep good food live as it the best part of the channel and jenni makes me laugh when i am feeling down |
| 411 | Wendy | Best programme on UKTV Food bar none. Jeni and Co are excellent at what they do & the programme could run for another 5 years...easily! |
| 412 | Teresa | Hear Hear! It is the BEST food show around,
and Jeni is irreplaceable! |
| 413 | Richard Rogers | WHY??
Beware............. whoever thought it a good idea to get rid of GFL, this decision may come back to haunt you. Watch the ratings and plummet and weep. |
| 414 | Anonymous | Certainly unhappy at this decision. Jeni was great for the format, and the format was great for Jeni evidenced by how flat she was when she starred on ITV's evening cookery show. But more than this Jeni was great for daytime TV and cookery. Huge shame. |
| 415 | Anonymous | Absolutely shocking. Cannot believe the person responsible for this decision.
This programme was excellent and viewers were always guaranteed a laugh.
Shame on you UKTV. |

| 417 | Anonymous | If the show was rubbish it would have been left on air - shame on the TV executives! |
| 418 | Clive Lewis | I can't believe that this channel is committing hari-kari - what OTHER possible reason is there for tuning into the channel except to see La Barnet in all her glory - for the last five years or so, we've watched every episode except the ones where some other poor sod tried to take over while she was away - usually watched the Monday programme and then avoided it for the rest of the week! So, let's hope the new flagship programme dies as rapidly as it promises to and that they'll be grovelling at Jeni (and Jim's) door to get her back pronto! |
| 419 | Myfanwy | You are slitting your own throats. I am sure the viewing figures will confirm this when GFL and GFE goes off air- shameful - you in suits want a good kick up the a..e |
| 420 | Denise Noble | I have been watching the brilliant Jeni and co for years, I think it's a disgrace that GFL is being axed. Jeni is indeed a national treasure, good luck xxx |
| 421 | Sachelle Robb | i have watched GFL for 3 yrs now and my 18month old watches jeni and the gang with smiles and laughter. He even waves bye bye at the end of the show. Please get this show back on air its the best cookery programme on tv |
| 422 | Rina | My partner and I never miss it. It is the highlight of our day here in Fuerteventura and we cannot believe that Jeni will not be there to brighten our already bright days! Noone can replace Jeni, it has been tried and it was always such a disaster that we turned off and waited for Jeni's return. How could you! We wont be watching again until Jeni is back. If Jeni goes to another programme, then we will be there!! |
| 423 | Chris | This is the only cookery programme I watch and the only reason I watch it is because of what Jeni Barnett brings to it. Without Jeni the programme is a non-starter, as has been proved when she is not there!! Enough said about the pathetic replacements that have been tried and failed, miserably! You have lost me of that you can be sure! |
| 424 | Taffy | Cannot believe that Jeni is leaving! Why, why, why?
I am certainly not watching the programme again without the funny, witty, intelligent presence of the one and only Jeni Barnett! |
| 425 | Thomas | So, it is true. Well, my days will not be the same without Jeni and GFL. I am devastated. If Jeni stays, I stay. If Jeni goes, then so do I. Do the powers that be not realise what a truly national treasure they have in Jeni? What idiots they are! |
| 426 | P G Haynes | I cant believe that GFL is to be replaced by a London centric, trustifarian programed piece of tosh, talking about food as a status symbol. Who will be the everyman to all the food professionals asking the questions however silly, and giving a clear unpretentious answer, sadly it won't be Jeni, or anyone else on the Market thing show.
UKTV food how could you!.............Why?.................you have no idea about a good program that has a wide church!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| 427 | Karen Warburton | |
| 428 | Anonymous | obviously you do not value those that bring the knowledge, learning, interest and fun of food to us. Five years I have watched and never been bored. Changed my service provider just to watch jeni and the team. Don't do this we need this program.. |
| 429 | Anonymous | please save my favourite tv show. |
| 430 | Juneallison | How can the most popular programme on UKTV food get taken off in its prime its ridiculous. Jemi Barnet is the single greatest asset this channel has or rather had ...absolute travesty |
| 431 | Cliff | The best TV presenter ever known, a Brilliant programme, I hope the BBC reopen the show !!! I will have no reason to watch UK TV Food channel anymore!!! I WISH JENI ALL MY LOVE AND THANKS A MILLION YOU ARE ONE IN A BILLION! |
| 432 | Colleen | What a travesty. I cook with Jenni and GFL, I learn with her and her chefs, I eat with her and her chefs, I iron with her and it makes the load much much lighter. Jenni Barnett is an amazing woman, full of life and laughter - she is pure medicine to those who watch her show. Her particular personality and sense of humour has saved my day and my sanity many a time and I am devastated that she and her show have been axed. Not a good decision by the powers that be for sure. Who now will keep me company when I am depressed and hopeless at being a good companion? Jenni always did it with such aplomb and humour that I was able to stop my antidepressant medication..... she was a friend and I am upset and unhappy :-( |
| 433 | Lynne Raymond | I am absolutely gobsmacked to learn that the programme is being axed. I cannot believe that such a popular show wont be aired anymore. I would really like to no the reason why. |
| 434 | Sally-Anne Davies | |
| 435 | sagat | GFL bosses stop been greedy and bring back the show. |
| 436 | Anonymous | No comments to add. |
| 437 | Jules | |
| 438 | JS | |
| 439 | Hilary Hann | Jeni Barnett is a true entertainer and a perfect hostess for GFL. Jeni's humour and her irreverent wit, make the programme GREAT food live! Do not axe this terrific mix of entertainment, food and fun! |
| 440 | Carrie Davis-Holman | |
| 441 | Carmel Millar | Please reconsider GFL is unique - must be the most watched show on the channel!!! |
| 442 | Steve Pinder-Banthorpe | I cannot believe that someone has decided to take such a successful show off air. Not only is the wonderful Jeni a STAR (think Liz Taylor quality) presenter, the whole team make this a totally entertaining event without ever being pretentious, (unlike many other cooking shows presented by chefs). Who wants some toffee nosed London twit as a replacement? No-one! |
| 443 | Amy Blyth | I agree with the above statement wholeheartedly. This excellant show is the main reason we use Sky. |
| 444 | caroline eve lyn george | why would such an entertaining and enlightening show be shelved? answer: stupid bosses! |
| 445 | m james | gfl is the best thing on tv i dont miss a single program, lets get it back! |
| 446 | Anonymous | It's the best show on TV and should be reinstated immediately. |
| 447 | Jordan Grantham | Bring GFL back!...PLEASE!!!!! |
| 448 | MR C SMITH | iT IS BEYOND COMPREHENSION THAT THE BEST PROGRAM AND PRESENTER SHOULD BE AXED. i HAVE WATCHED IT VIRTUALLY FROM THE WORD GO AND AM DEEPLY SADENED AND ANGRY YOU SHOULD END ONE OF MY DAILY TREATS.
PLEASE RECONSIDER |
| 449 | Graham Wilson | Please keep the show going it's the best ever |
