Barry HoneycombeThis programme really made UK TV Food. Its axing is a decision that needs to be reviewed. Jenni Barnett's style was such an integral part of the show and made it light-hearted and informative at the same time. She has a rare gift for making the viewer feel that they are amongst friends. The new Market Kitchen has failed totally to impress me and as a result i have not switched to UK TV food once since. The company and the advertisers, please take note. Whatever Jenni does next - good luck to her and more fool UK TV Food if they they think that Tom Parker-Bowles and Tana Ramsay can fill Jeeni's shoes - they cant.
AnonymousGutted that Great Food Live is no more. It was funny, informative, relaxed and insirational all at the same time. Jeni made the show. It's replacement is a feeble excuse for a show that makes you feel embarrased to watch at time. Once was enough for me. Bring back to professionals!
Simon CochraneIn case anyone is wondering 'Why Market Kitchen?'....Let me tell you a true story......... Once upon a time and not that long ago, there was a very silly man with an ego the size of a planet who inexplicably got a very important job at UKTV Food. He was very jealous of GFL's success because he had had nothing to with it. It was, in fact, someone-else's Brilliant Idea. He and his ego hated that someone-else and their Brilliant Idea so much that he thought about it all the time. So even though GFL was the best-loved, most-watched, and highest-rated programme on UKTV Food, he decided to scrap it (out of pure spite) and replace it with a programme that was only his idea. (Not anyone else's). Yah Boo Sucks.....he and his ego said. But because this silly man's ego was so big, and his arrogance even bigger, he ignored all advice (except his ego's), dismissed the audience's opinions, and commissioned a programme now known as 'Market Kitchen'. It had wooden presenters, and wobbly camerawork. And bad scripts, cheesy content and loads of general incompetence. So inevitably, 'Market Kitchen' was and is a mess. The loyal UKTV audiences were appalled, and switched off in droves. The critics savaged the programme mercilessly and justifiably. Even the poor production team and crew began to shake their heads in disbelief. ‘Market Kitchen’ began to be known as ‘Big Turkey’. So the silly man and his ego have got what they wanted, but at what cost? Significantly, UKTV Food has lost a huge amount of credibility within the television industry. The celebrity guests that ‘Big Turkey’ so desperately need on the show are worried about their credibility. Even some senior members of the production crew are frantically looking for other work. The silly man is in denial. Everyone but him is at fault. He refuses to accept that replacing GFL with ‘Big Turkey’ was a huge mistake. He’s still bragging about his ‘most ambitious commission to date’. Well, it can’t last long. And neither will he if he doesn’t begin to listen to the audience and eat a hefty portion of Humble Pie. And the moral of this story is….If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
LINDA WRIGHTThere is a great food hole in the middle of the day now. Please, please, please bring our lovely Jeni back. PS I hate Market Garden

Amy HammondGFL was a fantastic programme and Jeni was such a tonic to watch. Market kitchen is a feeble 'replacement', with everyone on it looking so awkward. I didn't know a cooking programme could be so uninspirational! Please bring back GFL!
AnonymousWhy was GFL cancelled? It was such a wonderful programme with Jeni a true joy to watch and listen to. We really have nothing comparable here in Australia and I always looked forward to watching the show. It introduced me to chefs in Britain and around the world not just as their own glorification via their own shows but as professionals who were put to their mettle by Jeni and her interview style and wit. PLEASE PLEASE bring the team back - it was a gross mis-judgment to cancel it in the first place. Just admit your mistake, cancel that feeble Market programme and RETURN Jeni and show

will huntOnce upon a time I could switch on television during the day and find a food programme that was emtertaining as well as informative. What has happened to jeni. She was brilliant and as well loved by chefs and audience alike. Now i can successfully resist the call to switch on and do garden chores or go shopping or fishing.
Avril NeesamI have tried to watch the replacement to GFL but find it boring and uninteresting. At least Jenni made us smile and entertained us. Bring it back in it's original format. Please

AnonymousI used to watch UKTV Food all the time. GFL was entertaining and informative. I hardly ever turn the channel on now. Occasionaly do to see if my recollection of how dire and drab Market Kitchen is coudl really be accurate. It is - every time. An awful show presented by uininspiring unimaginative people who have the charisma of a road accident. Is UKTV Food the TV channel with the death wish. It will surely fold soon if its decision makers are as dorkish as this decision woudl seem to indicate
AnonymousPlease, please bring this awesome programme back. Market Kitchen is appalling and I will usually watch anything with cooking but I can't bear it. Good/Great Food Live made the day that much better.
twiggynstumpyGFL inspired me to cook and experiment with recipes. The replacement show (Market Kitchen) only inspires me to watch Dave. Jenny was not affraid to ask the questions we all wanted to ask. BRING BACK JENNY
