Jenny was the very heart of the programme, with a genuine love amd passion for each item. be it the guest, a book, the food, chefs etc. She injected such humour and energy that was simply inspiring as well as endearing. Many times I laughed out loud and often would drive straight to the shops duly inspired for supper that night. Without GFL my days are quieter and sadder too. |

There is no other programme has provided genuine humour and entertainment like it. It fuelled my love of food and cooking. Without it I am a little empty and my saucepans are even more so. |

| 539 | Martin and David | UKTV has seriously underestimated the strength of feeling about the removal of Great Food Live, and of Jeni Barnett in particular. The company should be aware, as should their advertisers, and especially Waitrose, the sponsor of Market Kitchen, that the decision by the management of UKTV Food to end Great Food Live is having and will continue to have significant repercussions on viewing figures. They should give very serious consideration to negotiating the return of Ms Barnett - it is not too late to reverse the decline brought about by the termination of the programme, but time is running out and there are many others who would welcome her talent - and the audience that she will bring to any other television channel. |
