JohnnyThis must be one of the most illconsidered decisions on TV. There is nothing else like it anywhere. Jeni Barnet is such a natural presenter making everyone around her at ease and with a personality bigger than the egos of some of the chefs she has on the show. The format is tryed on the Sky channels with a very bland and stick like presenter and, surprise surprise, the end result is a very bland show. Jeni will be sorely missed but cant imagine it will be long before we see her on our screens. I'm sure she will be snapped up

AnonymousOne of the best programmes on TV
AnonymousMadness! The only really decent show on the channel.
REBECCA GASSONGreat food live was the one programme I watched to help me with recipes and ideas. Can it be put on another channel???? PLEASE
Carole HeatonI have emailed the website and I am signing the petition. PLEASE SAVE OUR JENNI AND OUR GFL. Have just watched the last show. Jenni shone at her brilliant best even though her sadness was palpable. There were tears in my kitchen too. Even now I can't believe she wont be back on Monday. Everyone involved in the decision to axe this wonderful programme should be ashamed of themselves. GOOD LUCK JENNI AND ALL CONNECTED WITH GFL. MISS YOU ALREADY.
Claire WarehamI enjoy Jeni Barnett so much as she is so entertaining and watch her every evening from 6pm. Why when a programme is so successful does it get taken off???? I can't think that anything will replace her and I shall be watching another channel in protest. You have so many repeat programmes of Rick Stein and Gary Rhodes etc why not put a market programme on instead of them??? Claire Wareham

Rachel Fairheadone of the few, new live shows on the network
pat BellDo we want endless repeats of Rick Stein etc? I think not . GFL has ALWAYSbeen entertaining, in fact most of the new cook shows have followed the format.
rickHope it works, but usualy those things are already decided! I am for one puzzeled as to why the show is been axed! Where is the logic? Rick Rocshe, France

Emma CunliffeThis is the best show on tv - without it the channel has little to offer. It is mad to take it off.
chezHow could you take such a wonderful show off the air, and the best presenter jeni, we will all miss the show so much, i have watched it since it started and wont be watching whatever is in place of it, please think again.
gabbywe love jenni!!!!
Barry TrumpNO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AnonymousHopefully it will be back as soon as the spring is over and we can get some decent new programming on UKTVFOOD, nothing against the planned new show or presenters (who may also be friends of Jeni and GFL), but there is no other obvious new and interesting programming for reasonably intelligent people, all the other good shows are old repeats which cease to be appealing on the umpteenth screening. Room for both new programmes would be ideal, but please bring back Jeni - if her manner upsets people then they can enjoy the new show.I want something that acknowledges humour in the kitchen!
AnonymousThe best show on tv. Always informative, intellectual and entertaining. Brings a smile to the face when down in the dumps. Bring it back! with Jeni of course.

Danny WolstencroftKeep the show and more importantly its host, its one of the few things worth watching.
Paul MooreKeep the show and more importantly its host!
Jessica SouthwoodThis is a crime! Jenni Rules!!
Daniel RobertsonLike hundreds of thousands of other viewers, I am stunned by the decision to axe the programme. It has been head and shoulders above any other cookery programme on the box and unlike so many of the others, it has the perfect balance of information, education, stimulation and entertainment. It has also given so many young chefs and demonstrators an opportunity to launch their careers. The mere fact that so many of the world's great chefs were there to pay tribute on the last show, says volumes about the quality of GFL. Please, please reconsider the decision!
Natale LewingtonMy mother watched this show in Australia with my father 2 years ago while he was dying over 6 painful months of lung cancer. Jeni gave Dad a laugh and he enjoyed trying the recipes with Mum while he could still eat. After his death my mother has watched GFL every day, preserving the link with him. Jeni and her team are like family now, and the announcement that the channel was cancelling the show was a massive blow - as if she was losing Dad all over again. I have no idea why the channel has made this odd decision, but it's crazy when you think how many people get so much enjoyment from it - no-one wants to watch stupid repeats of a teenage Jamie or Gordon's filthy mouth. Taking an educational, amusing and thoroughly enjoyable show off the tv is a crazy decision and I hope the channel's ratings plummet as a result. Please Jenni go set up your show on another channel and keep up your wonderful work somewhere you will be appreciated. Failing that come to Australia - we love you!
lesley murphyGFL best entertainment on telly. I will miss my daily fix.

AnonymousStupid decision- Best cookery programme on TV. We watch together with Jeni keeping us entertained. Why was it stopped. Unbelievable. There is nothing on this channel for us now.
EMMA ARNOLD
Jennifer CardyHow dare they do axe this show ? Stupid executive folk ! There's only so many reruns they can show before we all get terriblely bored and start watching 'Taste' on Sky 3 instead ! Just watch those ratings slump !!!
AnonymousIt really feels like there is nothing good to watch on television again. Jeni and Good Food Live have lifted my spirits daily and always manage to make me laugh and smile, however stressful the day has been. I can only hope that she is snapped up soon by a programme that allows her to be herself and appreciates her. Thankyou Jeni and your team. I am missing you already.
Kingsley RenehanBRING BACK GREAT FOOD LIVE & GREAT FOOD EXTRA!
Grant LauchlanI remember as a student way back in the 90s watching Jenni as a roving reporter on Nick and Anne in the morning...she was ace! In my book, she is the best live TV presenter there's been in years!! And we as a family in all our various households watch GFL...whoever axed it, is a numbskull!! Bring Jenni & GFL back - and now she's free, ditch James Martin on Saturday Kitchen and replace him with Jenni!!
Helena MalcolmI hope this makes the powers that be see that there are thousands of viewers who are extremely upset at the loss the this programme
David EvansBest show - bring it back

judithBest food show ever
AlexanderA decision to end a successful series made only by those whose salaries are paid by the viewers who actually watch the programme. And in fact made completely against those viewers very vocal wishes. Amazing.

GRAEME DOTTwhy take an inspirational programme & presenter off ,as its by far the best programme you have !!!!!!
AnonymousI'm not particularly fascinated by cooking but watch GFL purely for the entertainment value provided by Jenni. Bring her back!
lorraine stewartI will not watch uktv food until Jeni returns.
Linn BennettI like many others will be dropping my tv package down a notch. GFL and GFL X were the only reason to have the more expensive package. I feel that I have lost my best friend now that Jeni has left. Bring back Jeni and co!
AnonymousPlease, please, please bring them back ...
AnonymousWhere have they gone ...
Olivia RichardsonI am astounded that UKTVFood has axed GFL and fear that it will only lead to more of the same old repeat after repeat after repeat programmes which are already overdone.
