After June 1, 2002, Score Choice will be removed from the Scholastic Apptitude Test Twos. Score Choice was used to give students a choice to hold back scores from colleges if they felt that they did not do as well as they hoped. For this reason, Scholastic Apptitude Test Twos were very popular amongst students in previous years. Students were given the chance to show colleges their abilities in certain subjects without having the pressure on their backs. However, once Score Choice is removed more stress will be added onto high school students, who will now have to worry equally about the Scholastic Apptitude Test One and Twos. This change in the Educational Testing Service's policy is also very abrupt, and if implemented will be very dramatic to sophomore and juniors of this year who have to suddenly adapt to this change.
