A localized payroll office should be established, with 9-5 phone access, not just a 2-hour window from 3-5p, in California. Payment should be expedited to a Maximum of 2 weeks, and not a minimum of two weeks. I have waited over a month for some checks? Also production companies should be held accountable for their treatment of background artist. There should be ample seating in the holding areas and on-set, extras should not have to log chairs from one place to the next. There should be some NUtritious snack choices. And production companies should devise a plan for handling large groups of extras so that they are not stanpeeding to the lunch area, and ample shading when large groups have to stand in lines to sign in. |
