As concerned residents and business owners along the Girard Avenue corridor, we strongly support a resolution to the conflict that has delayed restoration of the Route 15 trolley service. Returning trolleys to Girard Avenue will have an immeasurable impact on the corridor and surrounding neighborhoods. In addition to being an innovative and more efficient means of transit, modern trolley service can be a means of linking communities along the corridor and facilitating long overdue investment and revitalization in the area.
We commend SEPTA for its investment and we thank all who have played a role in bringing this project to fruition. We ask that all parties involved work together to find a mutually beneficial solution that will allow for successful restoration of Route 15 trolley service and the numerous benefits it will provide. Too much is at stake to allow further delay of this important initiative. |
