952 Maria WardMN55057As a current undergrad interested in public service but intimidated by the cost of graduate school, I know I would apply for the Roosevelt Scholars program. This program would improve our government!

959 Alana OlsonGA30458As a contract employee with the federal government, I realize that it is more and more difficult today to get a civil service status. This is in part due to the large amount of outsourcing being done. The civil jobs that are filled are mostly applicants with some sort of priority status, such as veterans and military spouses. Although these programs are doing a great job of promoting those demographic areas, scholars with no military affiliation are left out when the referral list is created for hiring managers. This is a great program and I am anxious to see it implemented.

977 Jessica CochraneNY10032I would absolutely apply for the Roosevelt Scholars program. I am committed to public service (currently serving in AmeriCorps), but do not have the financial means to continue my education without such an opportunity.
