Missouri residents deserve Renewable Energy Choices which will jump-start the use of Renewable Energy sources in our state, help improve Missouri's economic growth, improve public health, security, and the environment, and defend against the ever increasing costs of using Oil and Natural Gas sources.
We submit the following actions as a way to achieve these goals:
1) The creation of a Production Tax Credit; a vital component to the development of Utility-Scale Renewable Energy projects (Wind, Solar, Biomass, Geothermal, etc) in the State of Missouri.
2) Require that a certain fixed percentage of power generation comes from new Renewable Energy technologies by 2020 (Create a Missouri State Renewable Energy Portfolio.)
3) Include a Tax Credit for the purchasers of small Renewable Energy systems, used to power or heat and cool an individual home, farm, or small business. (Missouri Renewable Energy Rebates)
4) Require the use of bio-diesel fuel blends in state-owned diesel machinery to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, bolster Missouri's economy, reduce toxic emissions, and increase the longevity of state diesel equipment. (Alternative Fuel Sourcing)
By signing this petition, we the undersigned want the State of Missouri to implement these simple and effective ideas into action now. Many States have already implemented these Energy policies, and the "Show Me State" should do so now. |
