The petition
Renda Writer is focused on using "The Law of Attraction" and the principles of "positive thinking" to reach his goal of becoming the first performance poet to appear and perform on a daytime talk show. As a devout fan, Renda has his sights set on The Ellen Degeneres Show.
This is a goal he has been working on achieving for almost 2 years.
He already sent a paper copy of a petition to The Ellen Degeners show with 1,000 signatures from people who signed under the statement, "I am signing my name to state that I would like to see Renda Writer perform his poem 'Half Hearted' on The Ellen Degeneres Show."
"Half Hearted" is a soft, romantic poem inspired by the swans in Central Park. It can be heard on his debut CD, "Eclectic Poetic." This I-Petition is the cyber follow up to his initial effort on paper.
Your signature will help add to the effort and will make it that much more likely that the producers of the show will give Renda Writer a call and invite him on the be a guest.
Renda has performed at The Apollo Theatre, as well as countless venues throughout NYC and South Florida. He also has a vew television and independent film credentials. He is looking to perform on The Ellen Degeneres Show not just to help further his his own ambitions as a poet, but also to help open some doors for the art of performance poetry on the whole, giving other perforrmance poets more chances for exposure for their art.
