Remove Superintendent Iner Joelson from his position at Laurens Marathon

The petition

We, the citizens residing in the Laurens-Marathon Community School District (LMCSD), do present this petition to the Laurens-Marathon Community School Board of Education for the immediate start of a search for a new Superintendent and the removal of the District’s current Superintendent Iner Joelson from his position.

In the opinion of the undersigned Laurens-Marathon Community School District residents, we believe that the residents of LMCSD no longer have confidence in the current leadership of Superintendent Iner Joelson.

• Faculty and Staff morale is at an all time low.
• Student morale and quality of education has directly suffered because of this.
• Student rights and safe learning environments are in jepardy.
• Information is presented to the BOE and others in a biased manner.
• Teachers and staff have been unfairly treated, targeted, and reprimanded.
• Bullying tactics have been used to keep teachers and administrators from speaking up for what is right for students.
• Our mission statement “Working Together, Achieving Success” has been made into a mockery.

Our staff and faculty and other administration at LMCS is of the utmost quality, but we will lose these great individuals if the current Superintendent remains. The school will face declining enrollment as some parents will remove their children from LMCS if the current Superintendent remains. Please act now.
