HarryTurnerCAUSStanford's duplicity in this matter is dismaying, though not surprising. It's claims to moral probity are false, as this latest dissembling action confirms. I write from the perspective of a former long term employee with an insiders experience with Stanford's top tier management.
PeterCaryotakisCAUSI'd be happy to see a trail on the opposite side of the creek. Where there is ROOM!!! You really can't expect Ladera's shopping center to move. There is simply no room.
EvaBlumCAUSPLEASE! lET UNDERTAKINGS BE HONORED. LET THE COMMUNITY VOICE BE HEARD!

SteveZuckermanAs an alumnus of Stanford, their proposal is embarassing. They should do what they promised. Thanks.

SherryLundUSStanford should keep their commitment and create trails in Santa Clara County in their own land.
LynnMcLeodCAUSThere is too much traffic along the street -- I prefer the trail be through the fields, away from smog, noise, and danger.
DebraMeyersonCAI am a Stanford Professor and this sounds like a horrible abuse of power.

BillBakerCAUSTHIS IS NOT SATISFACTORY FOR YOU TO FULFILL YOUR OBLIGATIONS FOR TRAILS ON YOUR PROPERTY AS AGREED.

CatherineMathewsCAUSIt's totally wrong for privately owned land to be taken over by a privately owned University, even if it is the almighty Stanford!

halfriedmanCAUSi agree that the proposed trail on Alpine Rd. is not nearly as beneficial to public as the alt. across the dish lands.

MalcolmSlaneyCAI am both a Palo Alto resident and a Stanford instructor. I do not believe that a trail or sidewalk along (Old) Page Mill or Alpine avenue qualifies under the GUP.

Claire HeinzelmanCAPlease do not approve of this proposal by Stanford. It has no recreational value.

LindaFillingCAUSLet's keep this a pleasant, quiet trail for hiking, biking, and golf carts, Why would we need a thoroughfare?
GavinChristensenUSI am usually a supporter of Stanford's rights for their own land and appreciate all they have done for the surrounding communities. But this proposal is ridiculous. This is not what they agreed to, not their land, wrong county entirely, and a recreational trail 5 feet from 45 mph traffic is absurd.
MichaelHarvilleCAUSI fought Stanford on their GUP proposals 5 years ago, and am disappointed to see that they are trying to go back on even the limited promises they made at the time. Shame! I'm an alum, too - no more money for Stanford until they do the right thing.
