The petition

This is a petition to ask Starbucks to set up recycling bins in 100% of their stores. We believe that it should be standard for all Starbucks locations, both company operated and licensed, to have recycling bins for both paper and plastic materials.

In the United States alone there are 7,087 Company-operated stores, and an additional 4,081 licensed stores. Can you imagine the massive amounts of waste that is being produced and delivered to landfills a year?

Here is Starbucks mission Statement:
To establish Starbucks as the premier purveyor of the finest coffee in the world while maintaining our uncompromising principles as we grow.

Here is one of those uncompromising principles:
Contribute positively to our communities and our environment.

Let’s hold them to it!

We are not Anti-Starbucks! Most of us Love the stuff. Also we acknowledge Starbucks efforts in purchasing renewable energies and 10% recycled paper cups (Thought they should be 100%). It is because of these efforts that we believe if enough people demand this change, Starbucks will listen!

Once we have enough signatures (we'll need thousands) I will deliver this petition to the US corporate offices and personally ask them to setup a recycling option in their stores.
