55 Sheila WagstaffI am appalled that Tesco have been allowed to build anything in Oxford Road - let alone a second outlet. Is anyone going to monitor how many small shops go out of business as a result? If not someone should do.
56 AnonymousI have no idea why anyone would want another Tesco in Reading, unless they are addicted to cheaply produced junk food of course.

58 Cllr Gareth EppsThe fact that Tesco is getting to a virtually monopoly position in Reading, to the detriment of local businesses, is echoed in many other local towns. I do not shop at Tesco because of these and other practises. The last thing Oxford Road needs is another Tesco. This requires action at central Government level to stop this rapacious monopoly.
59 AnonymousIm sick of Tescos Opening everywhere, I want some varirity, I certenly won't be shopping there again.

63 Lee CollisIf you all feel so bloodly strongly, don't use the place, although I bet you will, just once, when you run out of something?

74 Charlotte HowesI like the current diversity of the shops on the Oxford Rd. The new superstore is bad enough let alone a Tesco Express store too!

76 Sue WhiteTesco shouldn't be given liquor licenses, since all their shops in Reading have been caught selling booze to children.

90 AnonymousDon't let Tesco get a strangle hold on Reading. Please someone convince the council to block this.

94 Lisa HerbertIf we do not stand up to the corporate bullies, Tesco being one of the main contenders, we shall see huge price rises once they have erradicated all their local, smaller competition. They have no concern for the environmental impact their stores impose on small villages and the traffic problems that will be created.
