There are too many different shifts that have been added to the work force of America. The sidewalks no longer roll up at dark, so many families are not together at "traditional" viewing times. | 23 | Linda Watson | Hey Nielsen, I am a fan of Jericho and I want you to know I watch it every week along with my whole family which accounts for about 16 to 18 people in all demographics and we need to be counted. Your system is not working because there are just as many non-Nielson watchers as there are Nielson watchers and the way you have the system count us is not working. The Hey! Nielson site is some proof that we are here and we need to be heard and counted. So many shows are killed off because you have no control over the box and the people who are watching and forget to register the shows they watch or surf the channels as they watch. I just don't think it is an up to date way of measuring viewers any more. You need to come up with a better way. If you have someone who is hooked on a show and will not watch any thing new then those new shows do not have a prayer in h*ll to be counted and we both know this happens all the time. You need to update and we want to be counted. If a whole group of people can convince CBS that we are here then you are missing something don't you think? One box should not account for millions of people. That means to assume and you know what assume stands for. Don't assume I am one who does not watch Jericho because I will prove you wrong 100%. I am here and ready to stand to be counted. |

Further the nature of the process requires a less than random representative sample. It is inconceivable that in this age a more receptive system can not be instituted. Viewer habits change, often, and randomly. |
