| 1404 | byron michaels | Look, honestly, please save the soccer fields. This one of the top 5 most noble causes of the year. I do not even play soccer, but when it comes down to it, I just do not see where other people in the city will if these fields are taken. |

| 1406 | Alex Arce | A have a hard time believing that a city as great as NYC is letting the Trust sell off one of the few public athletic fields accessible to so many young kids. I think that our children deserve the same access to outdoor experiences that the children in New Jersey and Long Island have readily available. |
| 1407 | Stephen Philip Fearnley | Even given the constraints of New York City, Pier 40 is one of the best sporting facilities in the country. Please do not turn this gem over to developers with more concern for profit than the health and recreation of our great city's residents. |
| 1408 | Amrita Sidhu | there is so little space for soccer in NYC. please do not develop these fields! |
| 1409 | Amitai Cohen | This Is a place that brings so much joy to familys and individals alike.. I love to play soccer, and this facility is incredible, where would we find another one like this? we have enough commertial centers in the city! It is very important to keep and develop It as a soccer center and city park ,for the well being of the nabors and for the inviarment.. Hope that who ever see this find it in their heart to do the right thing.
with respect

| 1411 | Stephen Lyle | We need more park, and nothing else. |
| 1412 | Mark Walker | Pier 40 is a wonderful facility and in the 2.5 years that I've been over here from London have had a great time meeting up with friends to play soccer there. It's like a mini United Nations, where local and global communities and styles meet. New York you don't have enough parks.......don't lose another one. |
| 1413 | takamichi saeki | We do need to keep for next generation |

| 1415 | Cathal Moore | I am not a soccer player either but I regularly pass by these pitches in the late evening and am constantly amazed and thrilled at how dedicated these young and not so young soccer players are. They play in the all conditions and this should surely speak volumes about thir passion for this sport and ultimately this wonderfull facility, not to mention that it is a fabuluous and much needed outlet for young children. Keep in mind that without this, they have very few reasonably priced options and without it may be forced down a dark and dangerous "ALTERNATIVE" path.
Also, please dont forget the cyclist who was accidentally killed on this pathway - any increase in vehicular traffice to this facility poses this risk. |
| 1416 | Michael Alexander | I am a member of the Barnstonworth Rovers Soccer Club. We have trained at the fields in Pier 40 for over 8 years. It would be a great loss if that pier became too commercial which would reduce the available time and space for recreation. |

| 1419 | N refes | It is time that the city recognizes the citizens who live and raise families in the city. More and more is being taken away from us, giving us less choice to voice our opinions, and less space for our necessary pleasure. |
| 1420 | mark | please keep sports for our people and our children if you take that away, there is virtually no where else to go!!! |

| 1429 | John Tanios | Pier 40 is THE soccer haven of New York City. Destroy it and you would be stabbing soccer in the heart! |

| 1434 | Anonymous | As a Staten island parent have had the pleasure to see my children play on that wonderful facility at Peir 40. It is a jewel for all NYC residents to have to play and enjoy all sports. Especialy for the children of Manhattan where space is limited to have a place to go and play without having to spend a lot of money. As a New Yorker and a tax payer I urge you to do all that you can to keep this great facility open for all the children and adults on the NYC area. |

| 1436 | Jacob Nkowane | Soccer like many sports is a game of passion and a place where people can come together and learn about different cultures and social backgrounds. Pier 40 has made that possible for a lot of us, and if you tkae that away, you take away not only the game of soccer, but the soul, harmony and joy that comes with it. Don't take the fields away |
| 1437 | Fritz Ettl | Save Pier 40!!!! It's by far the best soccer facility available to the public. Plus, it was only recently completed? Why waste all that time and money? |

| 1450 | Steve Rozovsky | Soccer is a #1 sport in the World. We are happy to have an outstanding soccer facility like Pier 40 in NYC. We need to have a recreational facility like this to keep our children in sports and occupied their free time with soccer and protect them from drugs and crime. We need this complex!!!!!! |
