The petition
Dear friends of Raincoat, life and good times,
I’m asking everyone and know, and everyone that everyone I know knows, to sign my petition to make my song “Raincoat” the official rain delay song of the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field. I envision this to be the rolling-out-the-tarps song.
As you may know, I am a song hobbyist. I wrote “Raincoat” last year. It is a song about making anything into a song and having it mean something different to everyone – even nothing. Please send this petition to anyone interested in prolonging the self-promotion/absorption of one individual who is otherwise harmless. I promise you all it will make rain delays more tolerable in the future.
Your friend,
Greg Gibbs
