On behalf of the LGBTQ community we request that the UPS (United Parcel Service of America, Inc.) honor the language and intent of the New Jersey Civil Union law that states “Civil union couples shall have all of the same benefits ... as are granted to spouses in a marriage" and provide health benefits to the spouses of your gay and lesbian employees who have entered into a civil union.
This petition will be mailed and emailed to UPS by September 1, 2007. If you agree that UPS should honor the New Jersey Civil Union laws, please add your signature below.

While the New Jersey ruling for Civil Unions falls short of equal marriage for all the citizens of New Jersey, companies such as UPS have an obligation to honor the language and intent of the Civil Union law that states “Civil Union couples shall have all of the same benefits…as are granted to spouses in a marriage.”
It is imperative that we hold companies and other institutions accountable, to adhering to any new legislation that upholds Equality. In New Jersey, and in states all across America, RainbowWeddingNetwork.com and SameLoveSameRights.com® will continue to take the steps necessary to insure equal rights in marriage for same-gender couples.
