| 401 | Simon Adams | This programme will be missed and should not be taken off the air. Shame on you, BBC. |
| 402 | Jim Appleton | I totally agree with this petition |
| 403 | Ian Warburton | Agree whole-heartedly. |

| 407 | Scott Nelson | The ideal slot for The Best of Jazz is Sunday nights, 11.00pm - midnight in place of the awful David Jacobs.
By the way, Jamie Callum should host the show. |
| 408 | Anonymous | It is integral to Radio 2's output that a variety of music and entertainment is broadcast. Jazz should be heard on the most popular radio station in the country, and it's not much to ask for an hour of it every week, with the possibility for it to be presented by a younger person to make it arguably more successful. Keeping SOME jazz on Michael Ball's programme is nowhere near a commitment to the genre, or to musical variety as a whole, and considering Radio 2's recent changes in specialist output, a jazz show should duly be kept and would not be out of place at nights. |
| 409 | Anthony Troon | I have the benefit of "Jazz House" on BBC Radio Scotland: but the loss of "The Best of Jazz" would leave a serious gap in my listening to my favourite, ever-changing musical form. Please resuscitate it! |
| 410 | Melanie Sunbeam Smith | Keep the jazz on air. |

| 412 | D.Grant Mactavish | Not only a misguided decision to finish The Best of Jazz but a feeble and absurd decision. Who the hell do they think they are? |
| 413 | Allan Jones | please bring back this show and more niche shows for people with specific musical interests |
| 414 | Peter Clayton | |
| 415 | Jennifer Clayton | |
| 416 | John Ramsbottom | Yet another downward progression en route to
churning out continual pop music |
| 417 | Heather Scott | |
| 418 | Lesley Shaw | |
| 419 | Mike Durham | |
| 420 | Lance Liddle | Very disappointed at the lack of decent jazz shows on BBC of which 'The Best of Jazz' was indeed the best of jazz. I hope the powers that be will take note. |
| 421 | M Beaumont | utterley deplorable to end the programme |
| 422 | David Lathrope | It is deplore that BBC radio has lost yet another colour from a once astonishingly rich (musical) palette. |
| 423 | Elizabeth Harris | let's have some decent listening on a sunday afternoon too, on Radio 2. The Parky slot is pathetic |

| 425 | Sue Taylor | There is such a huge variety of jazz to be enjoyed,
a showcase program could never be dull.
Jazz must be brought before the public, how will they know they like it if they have never heard it? |
| 426 | John Taylor | Please can we have a internet jazz radio station from the BBC similar to Swiss Jazz Radio on the internet? |
| 427 | Joseph Penn | Humph would have been so angry to have discovered your decision. Please reinstate this programme. You only have to hear the Radio Jazz record requests to discover that Jazz of all varieties still has a large maket. |
| 428 | Allan Walton | If you want a presenter, how about the North East's very own Humph - Mike Durham |
| 429 | Norman Field | |
| 430 | Dave Carpenter | |
| 431 | Barry Mead | |
| 432 | Michael Jamieson | |
| 433 | f dorrans | |
| 434 | Lynn Ramsbottom | It's all said above - shame on you BBC, what a pathetic cop out |
| 435 | Dennis Mowatt | The more Vintage jass the better! |
| 436 | Andy Hamilton | |
| 437 | Chris Newman | This excellent programme covering such a broad spectrum of jazz styles must be retained. |
| 438 | Anonymous | |
| 439 | Vicky Newman | Please bring back this wonderful programme.
Why can't the BBC give us more programmes dedicated to jazz, particularly the earlier styles? If a local, volunteer led radio station can give us almost 24/7 music of this ilk why can't the BBC, to whom we pay a licence fee give us at least 1 hour a day? |
| 440 | david pelley | |
| 441 | Colin Dawson | |
| 442 | Nicholas Ward | |
| 443 | David Rose | |
| 444 | David Nash | |
| 445 | Roger Beaujolais | |
| 446 | Laurie Cook | I believe that it is important that the BBC continue to cater for minority groups, especially in the arts sector where a loss of regular presentation may result the loss of an art form to the wider audience. Jazz, in it's many sub forms, is an important part of our musical heritage and should be available for all. |
| 447 | Pete King | For Goodness sake please do not take the last remaining pleasures away from the jazz fans and Radio fans and those of us who have now retired who still enjoy the quality programmes the BBC have given us these many years. We are still alive and well thank you, and the music of our lives are still very much alive in us, so give us back this last remaining pleasure we so enjoy. |
| 448 | Anonymous | Support Jazz - there's some brilliant Britich Jazz talent that jst not given ANY airtime on British media, its disgraceful!! |
| 449 | DAVID MACQUEEN | To quote Queen
THE SHOW MUST GO ON
Humphrey would want it to. |
| 450 | Anonymous | Another great show hits the dust, don't they know there's a great listening public out there for Jazz? |
