| 63 | Emmy Aras | Ellen- Please, please, please bring Rooney on to you show! Firstly, they are an amazing band! They take old sounds and some how make them sound new & hip. When my Mom first heard me listening to them she thought I was listening to some of her old favorite bands from when she was my age like ELO. They have completely turned my interest in music around. It is because of them that I was able to see past what the music industry just wants us to listen to and discover real music & musicians.
This is a great group of guys playing because they truly love music and their fans - not just for money. The world deserves to hear them and learn Rooney!

They think they are way too self centered.
They would never reach down and help "a little guy up" if it didn't benefit them in some way.
Besides this is about ROONEY not the DAMN JONAS BROTHERS!!!! I am so sick of hearin about these guys. ELLEN, if you put those damn brothers again before putting someone like Rooney on, I will be seriously disappointed. I realize they are whay the majority wants but why not take a risk and invite some talent on your show. Don't get me wrong I am in no way saying the brothers aren't talented. They are actually not bad at all. They are just one of those bands/groups that make you NOT want to like them because of the fans they tote. Such as Paramore. They are a decent band but their fans make you not want to take the time to listen to them. Music isn't supposed to be about obsessing over how cute the lead singer is. Sure it doesn't hurt, but if all your doing is looking at their faces how can you ever appreciate what is coming out of their mouths and essentially souls. People listen to what the industry wants them to listen to bcause they are CONSTANTLY shoving it in our face. If you're a true music lover you'll see what else there is out there. If all we do is listen to what the tv, radio and magazines tell us we will never really hear REAL, HONEST, AMAZING music. So Ellen, I guess what I am trying to say is put Rooney on your show not for my own personal gain, but for the gain of the kids out there who haven't really heard REAL music yet. If we saturate them in it early they will appreciate the music and be at concerts for that reason not for the sake of yellin out "I love you" to a person they have likely never met! =) |
