David1998 Navigator Blew #3 sparkplug. ford offers to repair for $3000. after going online and then talking to them about all the reported problems Blowing spark plugs they dropped the repair cost to $600.
Aaron GravesI have a 02 SuperCrew with 117000 miles. My local dealer orginally quoted me $4400 to replace the head. They then quoted me $2500 to remove and repair the head. Eventually they quoted me $600 for an "over the fender" repair with no warranty.
JeremiahMy spark plug blew damaging my coil as well. This is the second time this has happened to me and the dealer tells me i need a new head now. Unfortunately the "warranty" does not cover this problem.

Charles EwingMy 2002 Expedition blew the right side 3rd back sparkplug on 3/11/09 and I have had to tow the vehicle 100 miles to a Ford Dealer that will charge me ~$1000 dollars in addition.
Scott KeiranI have an 06 Expedition and the plugs are incredibly hard to get out. The drivers side rear came out but left the electrode down in there, and the dealer says this is very common. Now I have to pay $2100 to have the head taken off to get the remnants of the plug out of the cylinder. This is a design flaw that is not being acknowledged by Ford. The plugs are steel with an aluminum electrode and are fusing to the head. I only have 78000 miles, and Ford recommends 100K on the plugs. The dealer says if everyone goes 100K most of them will have this happen. How do they no make this a recall?
