The children of Collierville do not have many places to go for family fun, outside of the many area parks. A Putt-Putt Fun Center would bring miniature golf, go-carts, an arcade and batting cages to our area. According to a special census found on the Collierville Chamber of Commerce website: www.colliervillechamber.com, there were approximately 10,407 children ages 0-17 years living in Collierville in 2002. Since between the years 1990 and 2000, population in Collierville increased by 121%, that leads one to believe that there has been a comparable increase from 2002 until now (2005).
Also found on the Chamber of Commerce website was the Income Demographic Data for Collierville (2002). The median income for Collierville households was $87,714 and the average income was $101,124.
In presenting this data, we believe we have shown Collierville to be a perfect place for a Putt-Putt Fun Center to be built, given the number of children in the area and the income level of the community.
This petition will be mailed to Putt-Putt Corporate Offices, the local Putt-Putt franchise owner, the Collierville Chamber of Commerce and the Mayor of Collierville by February 15, 2005.
