| 469 | Shirley Emerson | My husband was a Purple Heart Veteran and I am sure he would be proud of the Hall of Honors. This particular song would be a great addition in speaking to the heart of the Purple Heart Veterans and honor them in a way that has never been done before. They deserve this honor. Sadly, my husband passed away Thanksgiving Day of 2003 of diabetes related causes that were related to his exposure to Agent Orange while in Vietnam. That was not something he got a Purple Heart for... but maybe he should have. His Purple Heart was earned when his tank hit a land mine and he was burned badly. For all those who have suffered with diabetes from Agent Orange exposure--I think you should get a Purple Heart as well. You sure have been injured in the line of duty. Bless you all --each and every one and Thank You for all the sacrifices you have made in serving our country. We all owe you a debt of gratitude that we can never repay enough. Peace and Love to you all!!! | Kentucky | United States of America |
