The "Freud Today" section has the stated goal to "show how Freud himself or psychoanalytic ways of thought might respond to everyday situations and issues of the day". In fact, it shows how the writers of the section can attempt to use Freud's name to push their own pro-Palestinian Arab propaganda.

In the years leading up to WWI, and during his service, his statements are generally supportive of German war aims, even patriotic. But his political views, like that of most thoughtful human beings, continued to change throughout his life. The Freud Archive's hijacking of Freud's legacy for political purposes would bring a wry smile to the face of the good doktor and to anyone who actually bothers to read his work.
