| 34 | Sharla Stevens | I believe that Mr. Powell is the BEST person for the job of President of the U.S. He is perceived as a moderate by members of both of the major parties. He is a veteran. He was Chief of Staff for the 1st Gulf War and was Secretray of State at the beginning of the second. He has the political muscle and strength of character to get the job done. How I WISH he would run for President!
Mr. Powell, if you read this, PLEASE change your mind! This country NEEDS you.
Signed,
Sharla Stevens
who served in Desert Storm under your leadership (and General Schwartzkopf's). |
| 35 | Anonymous | Our country needs a statesman. Colin Powell is the only statesman in our country at this time. We are hoping either party will draft him, coax him or whatever has to happen to have him in the Presidential office. |
| 36 | Ervin Acuna | Colin Powell must run for 2008, we must get our country back from the politicians of today. |

| 43 | Don Kent | Dear Mr. Powell,
You are an American hero. Your country needs you - although you have done your part in public service, our military, and at America's Promise. I'm concerned because much of what you were afraid of (and didn't say in public) has come true. As I look at the 20 individuals running for President - I'm not instilled with confidence. If you announced, you would have my vote, my financial support, and my time (as I would work as a volunteer in your behalf). Having said that, serving as President extracts an significant toll - of which you are well aware. God bless you - you've done your duty but...we really need you.
Don Kent |
| 44 | John Arnold | |
| 45 | Robert Camp | We've thought this through. Not one of the current 20 candidates (on either side of the aisle) have the credentials for our next President. General Powell is our overwhelming choice. |
| 46 | Mark Miklas | |
| 47 | Kathleen Malek | We need Colin Powell to make sure that we don't have a chance of having Hillary for our next president. Mr. Powell has the military, political, and diplomatic skills to be a strong president. Please, we need you! |
| 48 | Jaimi Thompson | General Powell - you are a true leader and our country is in desparate need of your intelligence, experience and integrity as our commander in chief. |
| 49 | Fred Diamond | |
| 50 | Matthew J. Brown | Sir, I know that in the past you've said that the title president isn't for you. Why is it all the people who need to run won't because they are a moral people and believe that corruption cal befall any who assume this said position. Mr. Powell I am an AMERICAN and i am very proud to be one. I just haven't been too proud of the last couple of leaders we have had, nor the decisions that they have made. You , as far as I can see are the only choice. You would also be the only reason for me to vote.
You've served your country proudly, and I would proudly serve you. Thank you for even your slightest consideration.
