| 62 | Gary | Lopatynski | CA | US | Being an amateur astronomer for 38 years, I am deeply concerned about the destruction of the night sky. This ordinance will preserve the night sky, give residents adequate lighting and save money. The destruction of the night sky is not an inevitable part of growth and deveolpment.
It can easily be avoided and this ordinance will achieve that goal. The enjoyment of the night sky is a birthright that this ordinance will preserve. |

| 79 | Pamela | Smyth | CA | US | This is an absolutely essential proposal. Sadly, when the City of Yucaipa annexed unincorporated commerical property along outer hwy 10, no provision was made to protect the residences in the rear of these very old mostly "mom and pop" frontage properties. As a result, we have a mammoth bill board and horrendous floodlights that trespass onto, into, and through our home in excess of 400 feet from the light source. This should never have been overlooked and there is no ordinance in place to protect us from this oversight. In addition, I now cannot observe the night sky because the floodlights have been intensified and raised. We are blinded day and night by what is tantamount to 3 train headlights. We are even blinded so much that we cannot see the entrance to our own driveway anymore. |

| 94 | Nikki | Coulas | | US | I face the north and worry about the loss of night sky because of the growth in Phelon, Adelanto, etc. Most of those people talk of moving to the desert for the night sky and sense of safety yet seem to be illuminating their property like Roman candles! |

| 96 | Wolfe | Maggie | CA | US | I teach astronomy to students and it's kind of hard when you can't see the stars... |
| 97 | Jenny | Wilder | CA | US | Many of our city lights and residential lights are blinding and annoying. I think this ordinance is very necessary! |
| 98 | David | Morris | CA | US | |
| 99 | Richard | Watts | CA | US | |
| 100 | Susan | Markovic | CA | US | I support this ordinance fully. I remember the night skies of my youth and it is so sad to know there are people here in our community who have never seen the beauty in our night sky. Not only will this ordinance help keep the skies darker, I believe in the long run, the energy savings will be well worth the effort taken now. |
