Paris Whitney Hilton is an American disgrace. She is an heiress to a share of the Hilton Hotel fortune, as well as to the real estate fortune of her father Richard Hilton. She is a spoiled brat who has no sense of responsibility whatsoever.
Hilton is notable for partying without underwear and sleeping around. She parlayed her fame from the release of her porn movie into leading roles on the FOX reality series The Simple Life and in the remake of the Vincent Price horror classic "House of Wax" and also into a record deal.
As most of America now knows, Ms. Hilton was just charged in a Los Angeles court with DUI and sentenced to 45 days in Century Regional Detention Facility in California beginning on or before June 5, 2007. Chances are the judge was going to go easy on her until she rubbed her nose at the legal system by showing up to court 20 minutes late, posing for cameras and giggling throughout the proceedings.
We, the American public would like to make certain that Ms. Hilton serves the FULL 45 days of her sentence. Drunk drivers kill many, many, many innocent people. Ms. Hilton is extremely lucky that she didn't kill anyone. She should be thankful that she is only being asked to serve 45 days instead of 45 years for vehicular manslaughter. She dodged a bullet by surviving her drunk driving episode without hurting herself or others and should serve her sentence with dignity.
