Fredrik Fält | Singer is not the god of the vegetarian movement, although he often is treated as such. Be "atheist" about the deity of Singer and expand your library with other people's views about animal rights.

Sarah | Quit pasting celebrity faces on your campaigns just to get attention! We need to liberate the animals!!!!
Deborah | I was a supporter of PETA; I mistakenly thought that they believed in Animal RIGHTS, not animal Humane REGULATION. I firmly believe that the nonviolent, respectful treatment of ALL living creatures is the Permanent solution for the mess we are ALL in.
Gio | In my opinion Gary Francione in his "Your Child or the Dog" offers a far better introduction to animal rights than Peter Singer. Actually, as far as my knowledge go P.Singer is definitely a speciesist (or represent himself as such), hence, he is certainly not in a good position to speak-out and about in favour of animal-rights.
toni brockhoven | clarity is essential to ensure the average person out there is not even more confused in the arae of animals; already we have demi-vegetairians, fish eating vegetairians etc. there is a world f difference bewteen true animal rights and animal welfare
Richard Twine |
caroline norma | PETA's sexism is also incompatible with the abolitionist aim to dismantle structures of domination.

| 120 | Michael Prejean | In Ingrid Newkirk's own words:
"We do not advocate right to life for animals." |
Laurin Gioglio | All animals have a right to be treated with respect--not to be used for the benefit/entertainment of humans!

| 125 | Anonymous | Please stop using the label "animal rights" when it should be "animal welfare." Its confusing, and it makes the job of promoting AR much harder.
Thank you. |
ken hopes | regulating something that is fundamentally wrong, is fundamentally wrong.
Nancy | When an institution that supposedly believes in non human rights, is accused of animal cruelty, then it is apparent that there needs to be a change. The fact that PETA employees dumped the bodies of their murdered victims in trash bags, like garbage illustrates the way they really feel about non humans

Anonymous | I have been a supporter of PETA. I use the information that is given so freely. Yet now I see the *Pin Up girls wearing FUR! Eating meat and foie gras! I am MORE then disgusted! This is not what an Animal Rights corp does. It is wrong on every level.
Anonymous | Very disappointed in the hypocrisy.
Adam Kochanowicz | Peter Singer is not only not an animal rights theorist, he is not a vegan! Peta and Singer wish for animal owners to take care of their property. This is not Animal Rights Theory from its very root.

Karen Johnson | PeTA and Peter Singer do achieve much ito creating awareness of animal abuse and improving welfare standards. But they are clouding the animal rights issues, creating confusion, reinforcing misperception and prejudice, often being totally counter-productive, and in fact ensuring the continued enslavement and death of animals. I ask PeTA to align their actions, philosophies and moral baseline theories with the vegan, abolitionist, animal rights movement; and to stop using these terms erroneously. Please PeTA you have the power, the money, the exposure to make a difference for animal rights and promote veganism. Please use this power for the benefit of animals
Lisa Kay Feldman | I am removing all PETA information from my web site. I have had some bad feelings lately about who PETA represents and puts on display. PETA is slowly becoming a joke!
A Fromm | I supported PETA one time. A very short time. It was before I found out what they really do. That they think all pit bulls and the like sould be killed and before they started to use celebritys for their own purposes to gain attention rather then the animals. Newkirk is no better then Hitler.

Benjamin Payne | An end to speciesism and new welfarism in the name of animal rights.
Sheila Gredzinski | PETA does some wonderful things, I will always sign petitions and write letters for them. I will take any action that helps animals. But they do need to change their flawed thinking. All animals have the RIGHT to life and compassion, just as humans do.

danny nichols | PETA needs to change it's name to People for the RIGHTS of Animals (PRA), and start promoting animal RIGHTS, not animal Welfare. Animals don't need bigger cages and more "humane" (There is no such thing) slaughter. They need rights! The word "ethical" is far to subjective and needs to be done away with. Human slave owners thought it was "ethical" to beat their slaves.

Shannon Morgan | I just read in horror that you have given a Proggy award to TEMPLE GRANDIN! How the hell is designing a new ramp considered "humane" ? She is deeply involved in slaughter, the grisliest of deaths of innocent animals. This isn't even "animal welfare" in my opinion! I am becoming less and less enchanted with my once beloved PeTA. I am withdrawing my monthly contributions until you resume doing animal RIGHTS, not conspiring with the enemy! This is an abomination and Ingrid, once my hero, I feel has let the animals down in a huge way.
