Bill SweetieAfter traveling to wine country and sampling some excellent wines it is a shame that you can not have those wines shipped directly to you. The monopoly that PA liquor stores have is ridiculious and unfair. Look how convenient it is when in other states to be able to purchase liquor in the grocery stores.

Robert PeckinpaughI lived in PA for 10 years and found the liquor laws antiqued and out right stupid. Good thing I lived 10 miles from Delaware where the laws make sense.
Andrew Murray
Andrew GracanThe PA Laws are ridiculous and need changed. Enough with the state lobby and monopoly on wine purchases. I do not trust the state will be able to effectively deliver to me my vine that I purchase in California and Italy!
Tracy GracanThe laws are insane. It is time for change.
David CarterPA LCB is a monopoly and they only care about the mighty tax dollar. They have limited the access to speciality items that are not carried in local areas or are highly inflated in price to consumers. Why do other states I've visited sell the same products for up to 30-40% discounts on price. Simple, they have less people with a hand out, er on the product.

Bob ThompsonThe time to privatize the sale of wine in Pennsylvania is long overdue. There is absolutely no justification for government to be in the business of selling any retail commodity.

AnonymousHow come New York, Illinois, Texas, Missouri, Washington, Florida, Oregon, Nevada, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Michigan, New Hampshire, Georgia and more can make this work and Pennsylvania can't? It is not like the PLCB has to invent electricity! Surely a little plain common sense can be found in Pennsylania. The legislature has frustrated the courts and people of the state long enough.
AnonymousRead this; a quote by the chairman of the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA). This is the group that opposes direct shipments to consumers. The American consumer who’s complaining that he can’t get some obscure frou-frou wine produced and bottled by Croatian virgins is missing the point. The reason he even WANTS that bottle of wine is because of the incredible variety that is already on the shelves! And how did it get there? WE put it there!" 733 John W. Nilon, IIII am appalled and emabarrassed by the medieval method by which the state of PA regulates alcohol sales, especially wine. The state has no constitutional right to monopolize an industry. It's time our state gives up their greed and opens the door to competition. This would be a strong step in the right direction.

Brian RocheI travel to wineries across the country, and as of now the state gets no revenue off of the bottles I purchase. This plan would give the State the added revenue that is currently not collected, as well as uphold the constitutional rights given to citizens in Pennsylvania of free trade and commerce. Anything less would be unacceptable.
