May 1985 should more appropriately be listed on record as the "most notorious example of state-sponsored domestic terrorism by the City of Philadelphia on its own people". I trust Guiness will do the right thing and issue both a retraction and a public apology to MOVE members in the next issue of Guiness World Records, in addition to taking measures that will ensure their 'researchers' get their facts straight in the future. |

MOVE members did not commit suicide, they were MURDERED, which a quick Google check would verify and Wikipedia would affirm, which is just SIMPLE fact checking. Classifying MOVE as a unique social organization is a more meaningful way to think of MOVE than calling them a cult. MANY organizations outside mainstream ideas of normalcy could technically be called cults, raw foodists, rastafarians, yogis, etc. MOVE members are accessible. They are real people.
