OLV Jr & Sr School Consolidation

The petition

We are the parents, students, staff and community stakeholders for Our Lady of Victory Jr & Sr elementary schools in Fort Erie, Ontario, part of the Niagara Catholic District School Board family. For additional information and developments of our efforts, please visit our website at www.np4ce.org

A petition is being circulated, in paper and electronically, to collect signatures for submission to our School Board, our town Councilor and Mayor, our Provincial Member of Parliament and the Minister of Education for a commitment on the overdue replacement of our Senior School with consolidation of our Junior School.

It is our registered desire to see excellence in our Catholic elementary school. The cost to address and repair the Senior School is beyond the 80% mark per Provincial Ministry of Education guidelines, making it a prime candidate for replacement. The on-line petition will be kept open so all stakeholders in our community can continue to have a place to air their views. The more people who sign the petition, the greater the voice we have.

An elementary school is crucial to the social fabric of our community. It provides the foundation for the education of our children, draws families to settle and participate in our community, and enables means for extended local, regional and provincial social services to the community.

Niagara Catholic District School Board excellent has elementary and secondary schools in our region and we want this high standard of teaching and learning to be supported and continue at Our Lady of Victory in Fort Erie. An investment in a new School facility is overdue and most urgently required if we are to have quality education for our children and an active participant in the life and continued growth of our community.

Schools are the heart of our community.

The education of our children is the most important decision any of us will make.

Please voice your opinion(s) and support for a commitment to the replacement of OLV Senior with consolidation of the Junior school to provide quality education for our children, to enable success for their future, and ours.
