408 Wes BrainThe efforts for health care reform in Oregon are coming up short. The ONLY WAY to move forward and towards a positive future are with a publicly owned and publicly administered not-for-profit health plan. Much time and efforts are for not without this important and needed change. STOP pandering to the powerful corporate health care conglomerate and move forward with efforts to benefit ordinary people!--Wes Brain, Ashland, Oregon

415 David DelkIn this new age of HOPE, I must state my HOPE for building a new America - Single Payer health care (not health insurance, health care), passage of the Trade Act of 2008 and passage of the Employee Free Choice Act. These three items provide the foundation for building a new and better America and world.

422 AnonymousEvery person should have an opportunity to afford health insurance.

424 Elias MeyerI believe health care is a RIGHT, not a PRIVILEGE. Ethically, we have to build a system of universal health care. It also makes good economic and political sense! So please show courage and leadership and fight for a system of universal health care!

431 Richard YarnellBasic health care should be considered a "right," available to everyone, and immune from manipulation by profit making entities. However, adoption of "free" public health care should not impinge on the right of anyone to purchase additional health care if they can afford it.

433 Ellen PinneyI truly thought this request had been received and approved by the OHFB. We are talking here about a plan that has the same underwriting and benefits requirements as all other plans in the exchange. We are talking about giving all people the right to select a plan that is publicly owned, publicly administered. They would, i assume, simultaneously be able to choose a plan that is non-profit and potentially a plan that is for profit. All plans must be held equally accountable to access, quality and affordability requirements.

441 Angela LopezThe current Health Insurance is out of hand. The Insurance companies are making the decisions for the Doctors....and that is not right. I do currently have insurance, but not everything is covered. My husband is currently undergoing acupuncture for his back, as all other medical help has not been successful. It is very frustrating that this "alternative" form of medicine is not covered by my insurance that I pay a lot of money for each month. My husband and I just watched the movie Sicko....WOW...what an eye opener....a lot of what I was already feeling. The US definately needs to study other countries health care services, and not take money from insurance and drug companies....they only have their best interests in mind.
