Terre Fernandez | Our family is withouth healthcare, and we're tired of sitting on pins and needles wondering when the healthcare shoe will drop. Please, OREGON, do something positive for your residents.
John Dorman | I need health insurance. I don't have it. And I need to see a doctor.
Nina Baley | I am a student with such limited healthcare that I am unable to afford my mental health medications. I'm not talking about birth control, but medication that I need in order to function on a daily basis. Good health care should not be a privilage for the wealthy alone.
Anonymous | We need a health plan for everyone
Anonymous | This program is long overdue and needs to be mandated NOW!.

John Bertani | I just received an email request at work requesting donations to cover cancer treatment for someone's little boy. And the father has insurance through the company he works for. It is a sad comment on the state of US health care.

Leah wisner | OHP hasnt gone through for me and im 8 months pregnant and ill i need medication and its taking forever, i signed up for it MONTHS ago and still i am paying out of pocket and pills going into collections, i have a baby almost here and my husband and i cannot afford a pediatricianfor her when she is born, we need healthcare asap!!!!!
| 378 | Alison Hebert | I tripped and fell and hurt my leg the other day. I don't have insurance, so no matter how much it hurts, seeing a doctor is not an option. I don't have a car and depend on walking and public transit, so staying off my feet is not an option. I can't afford to take time off work to rest, so relaxing and recuperating is not an option.
My only option is to take a lot of ibuprofen and hope it's not serious and that it will get better soon. Hope is my only option. Every time I trip and fall, every time I cough, every time my stomach hurts, I get scared and wonder if this is going to turn out for the worst.
America, and Oregon can do better for working people like me. |

Garry Jantzen | I can't understand how anyone who has had to deal with private medical plans would be in favor of a system requiring private medical care. The NHS model (with it's indivdidual health trusts around the UK) is still the simplest (from an end user POV). Private health care is still available in the UK but every citizen is guaranteed full free medical, without any bills, hassles, or complicated (as per the Medicare Pharm. plans) "plans" to choose from.
Matthew Curry | I have been shopping for health insurance plans for my wife and I recently. I cannot believe how expensive they are. How can ordinary people ever hope to afford to pay these profiteering SICKO insurance companies? I think America's priorities don't include the wellbeing of the vast majority of us. We need to change this situation immediately and take the profit out of health care and the benefit back in...this is for our own good!

Betty Schmidt | My children lost their father because he couldn't afford health care in the USA. His cancer was detected in Italy when it was too late. I had those same children when I lived with him in Italy for the price of paying my taxes. I am ashamed to be an American because of our health care system. Let's get busy and change this!

Jessica Hoffman | Health care is one of the most important domestic issues we are currently facing at this time. It is so important that every Oregonian have low cost, quality, accessable health care we can receive in a timely fashion...

Anonymous | I want a health care for my child please!
Anonymous | My children are being taken off the OHP because our income went up only about $300 per month and in order to pay for equivalent care, out of pocket our we would have to pay at least $500 per month. How is that fair?
