PETITION IN SUPPORT OF
OCEANO DUNES S.V.R.A STATE PARK

IN SUPPORT OF OUR CALIFORNIA STATE PARK AT OCEANO DUNES (Oceano Dunes State Vehicle Recreation Area), we, the undersigned, emphasize the value of family recreation in all forms that Oceano Dunes S.V.R.A. offers.

We declare the Park is vital to its millions of visitors and is critical to the local economy. We respect and admire the Oceano Dunes ecosystem and feel that State Parks has done an excellent job balancing recreation with environmental protection.

We disagree with closures that have diminished the Park's adequacy to serve the People of California and wholeheartedly support undertakings that will continue and/or improve Oceano Dunes S.V.R.A, its unique and historical vehicle recreation, and California's sole vehicle access to the tide needed by families, elderly, disabled and others.

Per Public Resources Code (5090.02), SVRAs should have "opportunities expanded". Therefore, land acquisitions (e.g., "La Grande"� tract) and improved access to the Park should be undertaken.

In unison, we proclaim, "ACCESS FOR ALL!"
